PPE REQUIRED

PRE-START CHECKS
1. Walk around to inspect for visible damage, wear, or leaks.
2. Complete all pre-start checks as per manufacturer’s guidelines.
3. Test all control functions in the operator's cabin to verify they are working correctly
4. Inspect the cabin's controls, seatbelt, and operator seat for safety and comfort.

SAFE OPERATING PROCEDURE


1. Ensure personnel are competent and authorised.
2. Ensure personnel are fit for duty and not impaired by drugs or alcohol.
3. Do not use a mobile phone while operating.
4. Always wear a seatbelt.
5. Start the engine, allowing it to warm up while monitoring gauges for anything
abnormal.
6. Test all control functions including blade lift, tilt, angle, and side shift.
7. Begin operation with attention to blade position to achieve the desired surface
finish.
8. Operate at a safe speed and maintain exclusion zones around people, powerlines,
and other hazards (use spotters if necessary).
9. Beware of uneven or sloping ground.

POST-OPERATION PROCEDURE
1. Clean the blade and scarifier of any debris or buildup.
2. Position the grader on level ground and lower the blade and scarifier to the ground.
3. Thoroughly inspect the equipment for any signs of new wear or damage.
4. Record the machine’s hours and any functional issues encountered.
5. Turn off the engine, remove the keys, and perform lock-out procedures to secure
the machine.
6. Complete any required reports or logs detailing the day’s operations and machine
status.
7. Notify the maintenance team of any repairs or servicing needed.
