Assessment Questions:

1.) What was your ending total? Did you have a loss or a profit?

Our ending profit was $102.00

2.) What was your most successful day in the game? What was your most
challenging day? Explain how you handled these challenges.

Our most successful day was in the winter; it was 28 degrees freezing. This was good
for business because the colder it is the more hot beverages people want. Our
worst day was 78 degrees. Which is very hot and no one wants coffee when they
are already hot.

3.) Did you find a recipe/combination that worked best? Explain.

The recipe that worked the best for us is Strong Coffee, with creamy milk.

4.) Identify factors that affect the demand for your coffee.

If it is the right temperature or it is the right taste this will make people want to get
your coffee. Which will make your business more successful.

5.) Identify factors that affect the supply of your coffee.

If you use too much of a product you will end up running the risk of it going
bad.

6.) How do consumers help drive supply and demand in a capitalist economy?
Give a specific example. (Answer in at least 5 sentences.)
Coffee Shop Supply/Demand Game Recording Chart

Consumers play an important role in driving supply and demand. When

people have a high demand for a specific product or service, businesses respond
by increasing the supply to meet that demand. On the other hand if consumers
have a low demand for a product, businesses will decrease the supply or
discontinue it completely. For example, if there’s a growing trend of people
wanting to live a healthier lifestyle, the demand for organic food products will
increase.

7.) 7. If you played the game again, what would you do differently?

If I played the game I would have a better strategy. I don't feel like we had a
strategy because all we did was keep changing the recipe until it was good.
