Ans 3. Basic Laws of Sampling Theory:

Law of Unbiased Selection:

Every individual or unit in the population has an equal chance of being selected in the sample.

Law of Independence:

The selection of one unit for the sample does not affect the selection of other units. Each unit is
selected independently.

Law of Finite Variance:

The variance of the sampling distribution of a statistic is finite. This means that the sample mean or
other statistics are not infinitely variable.

Law of Central Limit Theorem:

As the sample size increases, the distribution of sample means (or other statistics) approaches a
normal distribution, regardless of the shape of the population distribution.

1. Stratified Sampling:

4. Method of Moments Estimators:


Method of Moments estimators are derived by setting the sample moments (e.g., sample mean,

5. Bayesian Estimators:

Bayesian estimators incorporate prior knowledge or beliefs about the parameter into the estimation

6. Minimum Variance Unbiased Estimators (MVUE):

5. Robustness:

A robust estimator is not highly sensitive to the presence of outliers or deviations from underlying

6.Mean Squared Error (MSE):
