Amrut Mody School of Management – Under Graduate Programs

Report Preparation Guidelines - 2024

 The report should be typed with Times New Roman font size 12 with 1.5 spacing.
 All tables and charts should be numbered and should mention the source.
 There should be a proper table of contents with page numbers, a chart index and a table
index. Refer to Point 2 of Contents of Internship Report
 Reports with emphasis on technical topics can include a glossary of technical terms.
 Students should ensure they obtain a certificate of project completion from the
Company/organization.
 Students going in for market research should get their questionnaire approved by company
mentors.
 Findings/ analyses can be presented as tables, graphs and charts. Each table/graph/chart
should be given a proper heading and followed by its interpretation and implication for the
study.
 Students must avoid consultative statements in suggestions and recommendations. All
operational suggestions must be justified with supporting logic, statistics and information.
 Any data (financial or otherwise) taken directly from a secondary source should not be
included in the text of the report. Balance Sheets, P&L Accounts, Articles, etc., may be
included in the Appendices.

Note:
The actual learning and the report submitted should have a connection. The student should
be able to justify ‘why’ a particular content is included in the report and what he/she learned
from the report and the training.
If information is taken from secondary sources, the students must mention references in the
report wherever required. Please also note that plagiarism (copy from the internet without
paraphrasing) will negatively impact the grade.
