EBUS2714 – ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Group Assignment 2021: Business Plan

Due to the on-going pandemic, EBUS2714 will be an Exam free module. This means that
students registered for the module will not write an examination at the end of the semester,
instead we would be incorporating an End-of-Module Assessment (EMA) in the form of a
group project. This year the Business Plan assignment will be done in collaboration with the
IDC (Industrial Development Corporation), Free State. The goal of this project is to encourage
critical thinking, reasoning, creativity, inspire imagination and originality among the students
to grow the economy of the Free State.

The Group Project will constitute 100 marks and will replace your traditional examination
mark.

Your project mark will be calculated as follows:

ASSESSMENT TYPE CONTRIBUTION TO

lean canvas 20%

The Business Plan: Part 1: Neatly typed 50%

Part 1
The Business Plan: Part 2: Group presentation 30%
Part 2 (Recording to be reviewed in
collaboration with the IDC)

The project mark is made up of the different assessments: a) completion of entrepreneurship or

social enterprise lean canvas, b) written business plan (maximum 25 pages) and a recording of
a group presentation of the plan (between 4 and 6 minutes).
