May and return in July. Deoli was 30 miles from Dehradun. Deoli had only one
platform. The author does not know why the train stopped at Deoli because no
one either got into or off at the station. The train stopped there for ten minutes.
Author felt that one or the other day he would spend one day in Deoli.

He went to visit his grandma. Train stopped at Deoli. A girl came selling
baskets. Both stared at each other. Author was captivated by her beauty. He
went to have tea; the girl followed. The author bought a basket from her. As the
guard blew his whistle, the author left, Author got into the train: the girl stood
watching him and smiling. The girl was there in the thoughts of the authors.

As the author reached Dehra, he forgot the girl. He remembered her only when
he was on his return journey. When he saw the girl, he smiled at her and she too
felt happy that he remembered her. They had just started a conversation but the
guard had blown the whistle. The author ran again promising her that he would
be back soon. This time, she was there in author's thoughts even after reaching
his college. After that term, he was packing to go to grandma's house.

He was anxious as the train reached Deoli. The girl wasn't anywhere. Author
enquired here and there too, enquired with the stationmaster too. He had to
leave again. He could not see the girl who won his heart in just a look. He felt
bad for not having met the girl. At the same time he was afraid to break the
journey also.
