LAYING ON OF HANDS IS A KEY METHOD OF HEALING THE SICK

We can practice our authority in Jesus' name. Ears, backs, eyes, muscles, disease, sickness and pain all respond to and
obey the name of Jesus. Healing is released in the name of Jesus through the believer's hands by the power of the
Holy Spirit.

SIGNS AND WONDERS OCCUR IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

HEALING AND MIRACLES MANIFEST IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

Signs and wonders follow New Testament believers. Our belief plays a vital role in operating in signs and wonders and
healing the sick.

MINISTERING LIKE JESUS

The ministry of Jesus and the Gospels reveal the following:

 Jesus laid hands on and touched the sick. His anointing was released to heal them (Luke 4:40-41).
 Jesus spoke the Word of authority. He commanded sickness, fever and spirits of infirmity to leave, and they
obeyed (Luke 13:11-13).

The Bible doesn’t instruct us to lay hands on the heads of the sick and heal them. Rather, we need to lay hands in
Jesus’ name on the specific area that is hurting, diseased, or afflicted (e.g. nose, ears, chest, right leg, lower back, eyes,
etc.). By doing this in Jesus’ name, we release the flow of God’s healing power and resurrection life right into the part of
the body that needs healing. The power of God can go directly into the sick part of the person’s body. For example, if
someone’s right ankle has been injured, we lay hands on that area and send God’s healing power into it. Very often people
will fall under the power of God as we pray.

In Jesus’ name, we lay our hands upon the afflicted area (deaf ears, heart problems, kidney infection, back pain). As
we lay our hands on them, we direct God’s healing energy to the sick area (Matthew 20:34). We release His
resurrection power to heal, restore, and make them whole. In Jesus’ name, we speak the Word of authority and command
the disease, illness, pain and demons of infirmity to leave.

As blood-bought members of the body of Christ, our hands are an extension of Jesus’ hands.

 Healing the sick and ministering with results will involve our persistence, patience, and continual practice of
ministry to the sick.
 PERSISTENCE is necessary to moving in God’s power. We cannot get discouraged and quit because every sick
person to whom we minister does not always receive healing.

Jesus laid hands on the sick, and He commanded the disease to cease and the affliction and demons to come out.
He commanded them to be healed. Jesus spoke the Word with authority.

1. LAYING ON OF HANDS: This releases the energy of God to drive out devils and disease.

2. THE SPOKEN COMMAND OF AUTHORITY

 Command sick bodies to be healed.  Lay hands on people with authority.

 Command demons of affliction of leave.  Command the sick to be well with authority.
 Command pain to stop.  Command demons to leave with authority.
We cannot act like wimps or be wishy-washy about it. Instead, we must be bold!

6
Some healings are instantaneous and miraculous. Other healings are gradual and progressive. They involve a process
(ex: two hours, two days, two weeks, etc).

We are CONTAINERS, CARRIERS, and CONDUCTORS of the healing power of God. Every time we lay hands on the
sick, we allow God the opportunity to display His power and show His strength.

We speak to disease, demons, pain and affliction. They obey the command of faith. The laying on of hands releases
the power of God into the sick person’s body. When God’s power and anointing enter, sickness and disease exit.

The healing recipient must put their faith into action by doing something:

 THROAT PROBLEMS/BLOCKAGE: Instruct them to drink water.

 HAND CRIPPLED WITH ARTHRITIS: Instruct them to move their hand.
 BACK INJURY: Instruct them to bend over.

Psalm 42:11 (Living Bible) says, “EXPECT GOD TO ACT.”

With the command of faith, “IN THE NAME OF JESUS,” we can command:

 Muscles and nerves to relax

 Back injuries to be reversed and all vertebrae to
be healed
 Tension to leave
 Arthritis to come out and leave every joint in
the body
 Legs and limbs to grow out in perfect length
 Bones and discs to move into place
 Migraine headaches to stop and not return
 Neck and shoulders to adjust perfectly
 Pain and affliction to go
 Deaf ears to be opened
 Cancerous tumors and growths to die and
disappear
If we simply step out in faith and practice our authority
IN JESUS’ NAME, God will heal people from all kinds of
sickness and work creative miracles.
