4. Emergency Arrangements
The emergency procedure specific to the work area will be covered during the client
induction and task specific controls outlined in this method statement.
a) All operatives will be aware of the assembly points in the event of an emergency.
Assembly points will be discussed on site.
b) During an emergency the ABB Site Responsible Manager will take charge and will
ensure that the appropriate steps are taken to contact the client representatives.
c) All incidents will be reported to the or by the ABB Site Responsible Manager
immediately who in turn will contact the client and ABB HSE Manager.
d) First aid kits and trained First Aiders & Fire Wardens will be made available from the
client, clearly identified and arrangements communicated to the ABB team. ABB
First Aiders and Fire Wardens will be listed below where necessary.

13.Sequential Safe System of Work


This method statement considers the conclusions of the task specific risk assessment,
client’s requirements, and current best practice, to ensure that what is reasonably
practicable has been applied, to enable all tasks to be carried out in a safe manner (safe
system of work).

All personnel will have completed the Client’s project specific induction and will attend
refresher inductions as required by the Client.

This method statement and task specific risk assessment will be brought to the attention of
the site team by the Site Responsible Manager or Person Incharge of Work (PICW) and all
the team will sign off to say they have understood the requirements set out within these
documents.

A Stop Take 5 (ST5) will be completed, communicated, reviewed and signed on to by the
Site Team a daily basis to address site, environmental and task conditions. It is the
responsibility of the Site Responsible Manager to complete the ST5 and brief the Site Team.
