With a solid educational background and practical experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), I

I hold a Civil engineering degree from East Africa university, where I gained a comprehensive
understanding of GIS principles, cartography, and spatial analysis. My coursework equipped me with the
technical skills necessary for managing spatial data, creating maps, and utilizing GIS software such as
ArcGIS and QGIS. Additionally, I have hands-on experience with remote sensing technologies and have
successfully applied them in various projects, showcasing my ability to integrate diverse geospatial data
sources.

During my previous role as a GIS Intern at Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation of Somalia, I had the
opportunity to work on a range of projects that enhanced my GIS proficiency. I collaborated with a
multidisciplinary team to develop interactive maps for environmental impact assessments, demonstrating my
ability to communicate complex spatial information to diverse stakeholders. This experience allowed me to
refine my analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities, all of which I believe are
crucial for success in the GIS Officer role at IMPACT Initiatives.

One of my key strengths is my proficiency in coding and scripting languages such as Python, which enables
me to automate GIS processes and develop custom tools to streamline workflows. I am also adept at
database management and have experience working with spatial databases like PostgreSQL with PostGIS.
These technical skills, combined with my passion for leveraging geospatial information to make informed
decisions, make me well-suited for the GIS Officer position at your esteemed organization.
