Cracking the SAT:
IMPORTANT! The 3-step Process:

PLEASE COPY 1. Eradicating the wrong answer choices.

Eliminate all the choices that you know are
DOWN THESE wrong. The more choices you eliminate, the
better your chance of choosing the right
NOTES answer.
2. Making an educated guess to identify
the right choices.
Fill in your best educated guess from the
remaining choices.
3. Start solving as per the method/formula
to arrive at the final answer.
Now, you will be left with only the best
possible answers. Apply the
methodology/formula following the steps to
get the correct choice.

IMPORTANT! Given the graph of f(x), the graph of
g(x) = f(x) + c will be the graph of f(x) shifted up

is negative.
DOWN THESE Given the graph of f(x), the graph of
NOTES g(x) = f(x + c) will be the graph of f(x) shifted left
by c units if c is positive or right by c units if c is
negative.
Given the graph of f(x), the graph of g(x) = –f(x)
will be the graph of f(x) reflected about the
x-axis. This means that the signs on all the y
coordinates are changed to the opposite sign.
Given the graph of f(x), the graph of g(x) = f(–x)
will be the graph of f(x) reflected about the
y-axis. This means that the signs on all the x
coordinates are changed to the opposite sign.
