RESOLUTION NO. 2024 – 01


WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions set forth in the Sangguniang Kabataan
(SK) Reform Act of 2015 (Republic Act No. 10742), specifically Section 5 which states that in
case of vacancy in the position of SK Chairperson, the SK Kagawad who obtained the highest
number of votes in the preceding SK election shall assume the position;

WHEREAS, the esteemed position of SK Chairperson has been vacated following the
resignation of HON. NAME OF OUTGOING SK CHAIRPERSON, necessitating the appointment
of a successor to ensure the continued effective leadership of the SK council;

WHEREAS, pursuant to the aforementioned legal provision and in recognition of his/her


mandate as the SK Kagawad who garnered the highest number of votes in the most recent SK
election, it is deemed appropriate to appoint HON. NAME OF FIRST SK MEMBER as the new
SK Chairperson;

WHEREAS, HON. NAME OF FIRST SK KAGAWAD has demonstrated commendable


dedication, leadership qualities, and a profound commitment to serving the youth and the
community, thereby meriting the confidence and trust of his/her fellow SK council members;
WHEREAS, the appointment of HON. NAME OF FIRST SK KAGAWAD as the new SK
Chairperson will ensure the seamless continuity of governance and the effective implementation
of SK programs and initiatives for the betterment of the youth constituency;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that HON. NAME OF FIRST SK KAGAWAD be


formally appointed as the new SK Chairperson of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay
Name of Barangay, effective immediately upon the adoption of this resolution;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the SK council extends its full support and
cooperation to HON. NAME OF FIRST SK KAGAWAD in his/her new role as SK Chairperson,
and pledges to work collaboratively towards the realization of the SK's objectives and
aspirations;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the


concerned barangay officials, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), and
all relevant stakeholders for their information and compliance.

Resolved this DATE AND YEAR OF RESOLUTION.
