1. Why can’t many Vietnamese students

use English in real life after learning for
10 years?
Many Vietnamese students cannot use English
in real life because they focus too much on
grammar. They forget that speaking and
listening are also important. Another reason is
the learning environment. Students don’t have
enough chances to practice English or
communicate with others.

Finally, the mindset of students is a problem.

They think English is just a subject to pass
Part 1: The exams, not a skill for life. When I was in high
Problem school, I only learned grammar and vocabulary
to pass tests. I never liked speaking English.

2. What are the consequences if you can’t

use English in real life?
If you can’t use English in real life, you might
have trouble making new friends.
Communication is hard when you don’t speak
the same language. About jobs, you might
miss good opportunities. Many jobs need
English, and you can’t get a high-salary job if
you can’t use it.

Part 2: How We
Learn at LUK 1. How do you learn English at LUK?
At LUK, I learned with a new method. I
practiced speaking and phonics to improve my
communication. It helped me speak more
clearly. LUK also gave me a great environment
to learn. I had many chances to use real
English and connect with friends.

About mindset, I learned that English is a

language, not just a subject. With English, I can
have better opportunities in life and my career.

2. How can you use English in real life

and join the world?
I use English when I talk to foreigners. When I
go out, I try to speak English with them. Every
day, I read the news in English and discuss it
with my friends. This helps me use English in
real conversations. I also practice teamwork in
English. For example, when working on
projects, I use English to communicate with my
team.

3. What are examples of how LUKers

practice and improve every day?

Presentations help us become more confident
when speaking to others.

together. Correct pronunciation helps us feel
more comfortable speaking English.

This updates our knowledge and helps us
discuss ideas confidently.

and learning new words. This helps us have
better conversations with friends.
