371939040_Effects_of_parenting_styles_on_young_children's_social_skills
The family is the basic environment in which young children live and is the main
vehicle for their socialization. Parenting styles, as the consistent style of parenting
demonstrated by parents in the family, impact the child’s mental health and social skills
development to some extent. Social skills are important skills that young children
acquire and use appropriately through positive interactions with adults and peers and
are widely used in their social interactions and adaptation to social life. This paper
categorizes parenting styles, generalizes the social skills of young children, and
examines the effects of parenting styles on young children’s social skills from both
positive and negative perspectives. As a representative of positive parenting styles, the
democratic parenting style was positively associated with and positively predicted the
development of social skills; coddling, permissive, authoritarian, and inconsistent
parenting styles were negatively associated with and negatively predicted the
development of social skills.

According to Dr. Joanne Foster (2021) in her study titled “ Parenting for
Creativity “ shows that the best way to foster a child’s creativity is one that
seems both comfortable and demanding for them. Help kids develop their
creativity in areas where they have a best foundation of knowledge and
abilities. Children become self assured as they expand their knowledge.
Encourage children to develop willingness to step outside of their comfort
zones and recognize the value of having a resourceful mindset and take
advantage of a moment. Inspire them to be independent and proud, support
children as they follow their passion while also discover to find new ones. It
frequently takes time, direction and assurance to express oneself creatively.
An environment that feels both safe and challenging for a particular child is most
conducive for nurturing their creativity. Children are creative in areas where they’ve built
a foundation of knowledge and skills, so help them do that. When children extend their
learning, they gain confidence. Embrace the fun factor, too, and invite wacky,
spontaneous, and far-fetched notions. Help kids learn to appreciate the importance of a
resourceful attitude, cultivate a willingness to stretch beyond their comfort zones, and
seize moments. Nurture their autonomy, pride, and more. Consider hobbies and crafts.
Encourage reflective habits of mind , and support children as they follow their passions
and discover new ones. Be patient because creative expression often requires time,
guidance, and reassurance.

between year 2010 and 2022 that found through search. We wrapped off by taking about
suggestions for parents, scholars, and stakeholders in education.
No one can deny that creativity is essential for survival and a key skill for prosperity in the 21st
century. In an era where the skill of creativity is the pathway to development, it is crucial that
we nurture children's creativity to better prepare them for academic, professional, and
personal success. Systematic reviews on factors that could support or impede children’s
creativity is scarce. The present review was conducted to fill this gap. Major electronic
databases were searched and studies meeting predetermined selection criteria were analyzed.
The search yielded 55 studies published between 2010 to 2022 in English. We classified
influencing factors into four types: individual, family, educational, and socio-cultural factors.

researchers.

Creativity

According to the study of Houng TM Pham and Betsy Ng (2019) titled “Self
Esteem as the mediating factor between Parenting styles and Creativity” the
result shows parents should promote the self esteem of their children in
order to encourage them participate in creative activities to foster creativity
in them. Likewise, educational institutions and teachers should reevaluate
how they promote creativity in classroom. Giving an art instruction might not
be enough for children to help them reach their full creative capability. In
todays world, creativity training for both adults and children will be
extremely beneficial and applicable. However, in the further research is
essential to gain a deep understanding of how creativity develops.
