## Estanza, Lingayen, Pangasinan: A Focus on Sustainable Tourism

### Overview

Estanza, a barangay in Lingayen, Pangasinan, is poised to develop into a sustainable tourism hub. The
area is recognized for its natural beauty and cultural heritage, making it an ideal candidate for eco-tourism
initiatives. This summary outlines the current situation, potential interventions, and strategies for
sustainable tourism development in Estanza.

### Current Situation

Estanza is part of a broader 300-hectare eco-tourism zone established under Proclamation No. 1258 in
1998, aimed at promoting sustainable development and tourism in the region[2][6]. Despite its potential,
the area has faced challenges such as underutilization and lack of infrastructure. Recent initiatives have
included tree planting activities to support the local coconut industry and enhance the ecological
landscape of the eco-tourism park[5].

### Phase 1: Assessment of the Situation and Identification of Needs
