1. This Question Paper has 5 Sections A, B, C, D and E.
2. Section A has 20 MCQs carrying 1 mark each

36 A farmer has circular garden as shown in the figure. 4

On the boundary of the garden, there are two guava tress P and Q at a distance of PQ =
12m. Similarly, he has two mango trees at same distance of 12 m as shown at R and S.
PQ subtends angle POQ = 130o at the center O. The perpendicular distance of PR from

the center is 6 m. The radius of the circle is 10 m.
a) What is the measure of angle ROS? (1M)
b) Write the statement of theorem used to find the angle ROS. (1M)
c) What is the measure of angle OPQ? (2 M)

c) What is the distance between guava tree P and mango tree R? (2M)
37 In traditional winnowing, the dried grains were allowed to fall from a definite height. 4
During this, lighter particles flew in the air, and the heavier particles fell down. It is an
important step in agriculture. Through this process of separation, we are getting clean
grains. After the winnowing process a heap of grain is formed in the shape of a cone with
diameter is 8 m and height 3 m. (Take π = 𝟑. 𝟏𝟒)

a) Find the slant height (l) of the heap.( 1M)


b) Write the formula of volume of cone. (1 M)
c) Find volume of the heap. (2 M)

c) Find the curved surface area of the heap. (2 M)
38 The traffic signs are located on the side or top of the road. They give direction on how 4
we should behave on the road, so that the traffic can proceed safely and smoothly.
Everyone must know the traffic signs. To prevent the children of school, a traffic signal
board, indicating “SCHOOL AHEAD” is an equilateral triangle with side a (shown in
below figure) Answer the following questions by looking the figure.

a) Write the formula for area of the triangle. (1M)


b) Find the semi perimeter of the signal board in case if a = 80 cm.(1M)
c) If its perimeter is 300cm, then find the area of the signal board.
