General Guidelines (Delete this page when making the report submission)

 The training report should be printed on both sides of good quarto-size/A-4 size paper (75
GSM/100 GSM- Bond Paper) in Font size: 12px, font-family: Times New Roman, Line space: 1.5
with sufficient margins with cover page.
 The report is to be formatted using the Latex/MS-Word Document Preparation System.
 Project Report to be a minimum of 25 pages.
 Paper Size: A4; Left = Right = Top = Bottom Margins = 0.7”
 Page Numbering Position: Bottom with right-justified and continuous numbering from the
Introduction Chapter
 Use Times New Roman Font with Normal Style, paragraph justified and 1.15 line spacing
 Paragraph Heading: Times New Roman Font, Bold, Font Size 14; Paragraph Matter: Times New
Roman Font, Normal, Font Size 12.
 Sub-paragraphs are appropriately numbered as in 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc.; Sub-paragraph
Heading: Times New Roman Font, Italics, Font Size 12; Sub-paragraph Matter: Times
New Roman Font, Normal, Font Size 12.
 Figures/ Tables: Place Tables/Figures/Images in the text as close to the reference. Captions should
be Times New Roman 10-point. They should be numbered (e.g., “Table 1” or “Figure 2”), please
note that the word for Table and Figures are to be spelt out. Figure’s captions should be centered
beneath the image or picture, and Table captions should be centered above the table body. Page
Numbering, Headers, and Footers: Do not include headers, footers. Include page numbers (bottom
middle) in your report. Exclude abstract & content page while numbering.

 All references must be listed in the order in which they appear in the report (follow IEEE format
for referencing)
 References: List and number all bibliographical references in 10-point Times, single-spaced, at the

example [1]. Above are the samples for a journal paper, books, and Web references
 Only softbound reports will be accepted.

 The above guidelines should be used only as a help guide and is more or less a standard
way of report writing.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR TRAINING REPORT


1. A chapter may be further divided into several divisions and subdivisions depending on type & volume
of work.
2. The training report must be submitted in One Copy duly signed by the Faculty Facilitator & HOD.
Students should also submit a soft copy of the report and PowerPoint presentation.
3. The length of the training report may be about 25 to 30 pages.
4. The training report shall be computer typed (English- British, Font - Times Roman, Size-12 point) and
printed on A4 size paper.
5. The training report should be Spiral bound.
6. The training report shall be typed with 1.5 line spacing with a margin 3.5 cm on the left, 2.5 cm on the
top, and 1.25 cm on the right and at bottom. Every page in the report must be numbered. The page
numbering, starting from declaration by student and till the beginning of the introductory chapter, should
be printed in small Roman numbers, i.e, i, ii, iii, iv...... The page number of the first page of chapter 1
should be numbered as 1, 2,3,4,5... All printed page numbers should be located at the bottom centre of
the page.
7. In the training report, the title (cover) page should be given first and printed in black letters.
8. The table of contents should list all headings and sub-headings. The title page and certificates will not
find a place among the items listed in the Table of Contents. One and a half line spacing should be
adopted for typing the matter under this head.
9. The list of tables should use exactly the same captions as they appear above the tables in the text. One
and a half spacing should be adopted for typing the matter under this head.
10.The list of figures should use exactly the same captions as they appear below the figures in the text.
One and a half spacing should be adopted for typing the matter under this head.
11.The list of symbols, abbreviation & nomenclature should be typed with one and a half line spacing.
Standard symbols, abbreviation etc. should be used.
12.Subject matter must be typed on single side of the page.
13.All the pages must be numbered properly.
