ABSTRACT
(An abstract is an outline/brief summary of your whole project. It should have an intro,
body and conclusion. It highlights major points of the content and answers why this work
is important, what was your purpose, how you went about your project, what you learned,
and what you concluded. It is a well-developed paragraph and should be exact in
wording. It must be understandable to a wide audience. Do not include any charts, tables,
figures, or spreadsheets in the abstract body. )

How to write references?
A. References
The heading of the References section must not be numbered. Please use Regular and
Italic styles to distinguish different fields as shown in the References section. Number the
reference items consecutively in square brackets (e.g. [1]).
When referring to a reference item, please simply use the reference number, as in [2]. Do
not use “Ref. [3]” or “Reference [3]” except at the beginning of a sentence, e.g.
“Reference [3] shows …”. Multiple references are each numbered with separate brackets
(e.g. [2], [3], [4]–[6]). Examples of reference items of different categories shown in the
References section include:
• example of a book in [1]
• example of a book in a series in [2]
• example of a journal article in [3]
• example of a conference paper in [4]

Arrangement of Chapters (For CSE, IT and ECE Students)
The following is suggested format for arranging the training/ project report matter into
various chapters. However, it depends on the type of training attained.
Make sure that project report should be of 60-80 pages or more, Project Report less
than 60 pages may subject to rejection.
1. Introduction (4-6 pages, word limit-2000 words or more)
This chapter must describe introduction about your project.
5. Coding /Code Templates (No. of pages depends upon the project and it should be
supported by remarks of mentors with consent of respective HOD)
Consist of coding or code outline for various files Explain each class with functionality
and methods with input and output parameters. For Database projects, the report
consisting of
Tables – explaining all fields and their data types
Stored procedures (PL/SQL)
6. Testing (No. of pages depends upon the project and it should be supported by
remarks of mentors with consent of respective HOD)
Consists of various test cases (two or three) for black box and white box testing
Page numbers - All text pages as well as Program source code listing should be
numbered at the bottom center of the pages.
Normal Body Text: Font Size: 12, Times New Roman, 1½ Spacing, Justified. 6 point
above and below para spacing
Paragraph Heading: Font Size: 14, Times New Roman, Underlined, Left Aligned. 6
point above & below spacing.
Chapter Heading: Font Size: 16, Times New Roman, Centre Aligned, 12 point above
and below spacing.
Binding: Project Report should be typed on one side of the page and binding should be
spiral of the report.
Figures & Graph: Figures and its caption should be center aligned. Figure caption
should be of font size: 12, Times New Roman, 1½ Spacing, 6 point above & below
spacing.
Tables: Table content and its caption should be center aligned, font size: 12, Times New
Roman; Caption should have 1½ Spacing, 6 point above & below spacing.
Sequence of pages
First Page
Candidate declaration certificate should consists of names and roll numbers of
student
Second Page
The Second page should contain a training certificate provided by the company
where training has undergone.
Third Page
The third page may include the Acknowledgement
Fourth
The Fourth page should contain an abstract of the Project report. The candidate
may emphasise here his contributions.
Important Note:
All the above pages are to be numbered in Roman numerals of lower case.
Ex. i, ii, iii, iv,…
The document/chapter pages must be numbered using numbers i.e. 1, 2,
3……
All the pages numbered in Roman numerals are to be placed before “Content
Page” and document/chapter pages numbered in natural numbers are to be
placed after the “Content Page”.
