Part A: Microsoft Word (30 marks)


1. Open a new Word document and then save the file as HOT Word (Your Name).
2. Type the following document:

3. Make “UiTM Student Web Bulletin Board” as letterhead.
(2 marks)
4. Include UiTM logo in the letterhead.
(2 marks)
5. Change the right margin to 1.5 inches and the left margin to 2 inches.
(2 marks)
6. Format the entire document to 10-point Courier New font.
(1 mark)
7. Format the four paragraphs below “Did you know?” as a bulleted list.
(2 marks)
8. Format the entire document using 1.5 line spacing.

9. Make a hyperlink for the [email protected] email address.

10. Create a header that includes your Full Name and Student ID and add the page number at
the right margin of your document footer. Close the Header and Footer toolbar and save
your work.

Part B: Microsoft Excel (40 marks)


1. Start Excel then create new workbook, and save the workbook as HOT Excel (Your Name).
2. Copy the table you created in Word document as in Table 1.
3. Enter additional data in the new column shown below:

absolute cell reference for the 25% discount rate.

6. Calculate the Total, Average, Highest Value, and Lowest Value for all the columns except
for “Type” and “Size” columns.

7. Add new column after “Discounted Rates” and name the column as “1-month Free”. Use IF
function to determine free one month subscription if the “6-month Subscription Rates” is
more than RM800 by Indicate “Yes” if the condition is met or “No” if it is not in the result
table.

8. Apply conditional formatting if the condition of the “1-month Free” returns “Yes” result by
changing the fill color of the cell to “Yellow”.

9. Format the table using appropriate Table Styles.

10. Insert a title above the table as “UiTM Puncak Alam Web Advertisement Rates”. Merge the
column and center-aligned the title.

11. Insert a 3D-column Clustered chart in a new worksheet that displays Web Ad Type, Rates
(Monthly) and Rates (Weekly) only.
(2 marks)
12. Add a title to the chart as “Rates of UITM Puncak Alam Newsletter Web Advertisement”.

Part C: Microsoft PowerPoint (30 marks)


1. Create new blank PowerPoint presentation and the file as HOT PowerPoint (Your Name).

2. Add Slide #1 and choose the Title Slide Layout and put the title of “UiTM Web Bulletin
Promo” and put your name and student ID in the subtitle.

3. Add Slide #2 with Two Content Layout , and enter the following text in the first column:

4. Search for clip art image of “Internet News” and insert the image in the second column of
Slide #2.

5. Resize the clip art so it fits properly on the slide, and then resize the bulleted-list text box as
needed so the text is as large as possible without overlapping the clip art. You can use the
Font Size button on the Formatting toolbar.

6. Insert Slide #3 using Title Only Layout. Copy the chart created in Microsoft Excel file and
paste as Microsoft Excel Chart Object and adjust the size of the chart to fit into the slide.
Add a title as “Web Ad Rates Chart” to the slide.

7. Add new Slide #4 with Title and Content layout; type “Thank You for Your Support” as the
title. Add Snapshot Picture List from the SmartArt graphic and insert a clip art image of
“Thank you” into the slide. Add “UiTM Web Bulletin Board” text in the SmartArt.
(4 marks)
8. Apply the appropriate Design Theme for all slides.
(2 marks)

9. Use “Reveal” Transition to all slides and change the advance slide timing setting to run after
2 seconds.
(3 marks)
10. Apply “Teeter” Emphasize Effect in the Animation Gallery for all the titles of the four slides
and change the start timing setting to With Previous with 2 seconds duration.
(4 marks)
11. Apply ”Swivel” Entrance Effect in the Animation Gallery for all the contents of the four slides
and change the timing setting to After Previous with 2 seconds duration.
(4 marks)
12. Save and close the file.
