Welcome to Science Olympiad.
We are a competing team like a sports team and therefore meet on
multiple days of the week. Our season is September to April. Information about meetings, coaches schedule and
rules etc, can be found on our schools’ home page under “Activities.” Additional information about Science
Olympiad can be viewed at:
NY State Science Olympiad and National Science Olympiad
Team and Competition Info:
There are 23-25 events that students will compete in pairs determined by the coaches.
It is the combined score of the individual events that determine the schools final result. (Think team
gymnastics)
We have teams similar to a Varsity, Jr Varsity and developing team though they are not listed that way.
Time commitment, ability and experience determine your placement.
Competition begins at the Lower Hudson Valley Regional Competition on Saturday March 2 nd. If our
School qualifies we then move on to the NY State competition April 5 – 7, 2024. If our school qualifies we
then move on to the National competition (date and place to TBD)
