Candidate This form must be completed during the planning and progress of your essay. It is a record of three interactions
with your teacher. The first interaction should focus on discussing the prescribed titles and choosing the title for your essay. In
your second interaction you should discuss initial explorations into your chosen title, and you may present to your teacher an
exploration of those ideas in some written form. This will allow you to create a plan for the structure of your essay. For your
final interaction you are encouraged to present to your teacher a full draft of your essay. The teacher is permitted to
provide oral or written comments on your draft, but will not mark or edit your draft.
Teacher You must have at least three interactions with each candidate; one early on in the process to discuss the prescribed
titles, an interim session to discuss progress and a final session at which the candidate should present a full draft. Other
interactions are permitted, but only these three should be recorded on this form.
Prescribed title:
Do the ever-improving tools of an area of knowledge always result in improved knowledge? Discuss with reference to two
areas of knowledge.
For my areas of knowledge, I will use the arts and natural science. I intend the use of two 12/16/24
different AOKS with different answers supporting and nonsupporting in my argument such as
the comparison with modern technologies such as the MRI and digitalization of music. My
Second interaction:
teacher and I talked about the importance of defining and clarifying all terms in the PT. She
also advised me to make my arguments clear and providing reasoning for my examples
before my argument to remain clarity throughout my essay.
With my essay being complete, I've learned to keep my essay consice and show specific 12/20/24
arguments in relation to my PT. It was challenging to keep my paper from loosing clarity and
focus on my PT from all the subjective points of view the paper could be subject to.
Third interaction: Additionally, my teacher and I discussed about the implications and nature of what each
AOK can be relavant to and what it means to add to my essay. In the end, I have learned to
keep a focused essay on my PT with the added knowledge of implications invloved with
each AOK.
