FIRST QUARTER CLUB GLOBAL SERVICE TEAM REPORT

INTRODUCTION: The following are the project activities that are carried out and district activities
attended during the first quarter 2022/2023 Lions Service Year below:
JULY 2022: These are the activities carried out for the month of July:
 DISTRICT DEDICATION AND THANKSGIVING SERVICE: The Club attended with 2
members which was held at Christ Embassy AIT Alagbado, Lagos on 3rd July, 2022.

 ONLINE CHILDHOOD CANCER AWARENESS : The Club partake in the online


childhood cancer awareness which was held on the 9th of July, 2022. The awareness was
carried out on WhatsApp platform
 CLUB OFFICER AND MEMBERS TRAINING AND ORIENTATION : The club
successful had a leadership training and orientation for all club officers and members. The
club officer training was held on the 17th of July, 2022 and the Members orientation was held
on the 24th of July, 2022. The total number of participants for the club officers training are 20
in numbers while for the members orientation are 13 in numbers. The orientation took place
at Homely guest inn, Abk, Ogun state. The facilitator for the club officer training is Leo-lion
Oloromade Olawale who took us on the topic “Leadership is an Attitude “ while the facilitator
for the members training is Leo- lion Babajide Oke .

AUGUST 2022: These activities were done during the month of August:
 LEODERSHIP YOUTH CAMP: The club attended with 6 members which was held at De-
mate Hotel, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State from 4th-7th August, 2022.

 TREE PLANTATION: The club partake in planting of tree which was done on the 9th of
August ,2022. The tree was planted inside MOSHOOD ABIOLA POLYTECHNIC CAMPUS
at the ICT BUILDING and also at The lions Den, Oke-Mosun, Abeokuta.

 YOUTH EMPOWERMENT PROJECT: The youth empowerment project is organized to


train youth on different skills like soap making, tie and dye, make up artistry etc.The Project
was organized by the Lions club and we were 7 in numbers that partake in the project which
was held on the 23rd of August, 2022

 LEO EVANGELISM: The club did Leo evangelism in the school premises MOSHOOD
Abiola Polytechnic which they tagged pen day. The club did this to gain more members to the
club and create awareness about the club by sharing pen and also enlighten student what Leo
club is all about. The project was carried out on the 25th of August, 2022. 10 members
participated in the Project.

SEPTEMBER 2022: These activities were carried out in the month of September:
 DISTRICT PRESIDENT PRESENTATION AND FUND RAISING CEREMONY: The
Club attended with 10 members to the District President public presentation and fundraising
ceremony of Leo Christianah I. Nwokoro 100%P, MGA, LAH as the 9th District president for
2022/2023 Lions Service Year on the 3rd September, 2022 at K&C Event Centre, Abule-
Egba.

 CHILDHOOD CANCER: The club partner with Lagos Legend Leo club in publicizing
childhood cancer awareness for 7days. The awareness was done on the club available social
media platform On the causes, symptoms and what child cancer is all about.
 REGION 5 FIRST QUARTER FORUM MEETING: The club attended the region first
quarter forum meeting with 17 members on Wednesday 28th September, 2022 at Homely
Guest inn, Oluwo, Onikolobo, Abeokuta,Ogun State.
