1. Software Introduction
Creality Slicer software is developed by Creality 3D Technology Co., Ltd.
based on cura open source slicer software to realize model import, model
editing, support editing, parameter configuration, slicing and preview,
slicing file saving and other functions and internally optimize the existing
models and configuration parameters of Creality to improve the print quality
of the model.

The models currently supported by the slicer software are as follows:

2. Software Installation and Startup

2.1 Software Installation

Start the software installation package, select Windows or Mac


according to your computer system, and follow the prompts to
complete the installation.

2.2 Software Startup
After installation, click “Finish” to automatically run the slicer
software. You can run the Creality Slicer software while skipping
choosing either “run on the desktop” or “run the installation path”.

3. Software Operation

3.1 File

3.1.1 Create project: Create a new project;


3.1.2 Open project: Open an existing project;
3.1.3 Open recent file:Open a recently used file (any file types);
3.1.4 Save project: Save the opened project file;
3.1.5 Export: Export the opened file into other formats
(Including .3mf/.gcode/.stl/.ufp/.obj format );
3.1.6 Export as: Select the file format to be exported;
3.1.7 Reload all models: Reload all models;
3.1.8 Exit: Exit and turn off the Creality Slicer software;

3.2 Edit

3.2.1 Undo: Undo the previous operation;


3.2.2 Redo: Restore to the previous operation;
3.2.3 Select all models: Select all models of the platform;
3.2.4 Arrange all models:Arrange all models of the platform;
3.2.5 Copy selected models: Copy the selected models;
3.2.6 Delete all models: Delete all models of the platform;
3.2.7 Clear print platform: Clear all models of the print platform;
3.2.8 Reset positions of all models: Reset the positions of all models;

3.2.9 Reset changes of all models: Reset the changes of all models;
3.2.10 Bind model:Bind an existing model;
3.2.11 Combine models:Combine the selected models;
3.2.12 Split model: Split the selected model;

3.3 View

3.3.1 Camera position:Set the position of the camera and switch the
angle of view; the setting items include 3D View, Front View,
Top View, Left View, and Right View;
3.3.2 Camera view: Set the camera view and switch the angle of view;
the setting items include Perspective View and Orthogonal View;

3.3.3 Switch to full screen: Switch the slicer software to the full
screen state, and can switch back; the shortcut key is F11;

3.4 Settings

3.4.1 Printer settings:The function options include Network Printer,


Local Printer, Current Printer, New Printer and Manage Printers;

a)Network printer:Select the current printer as a network printer;


b)Local printer: Select the current printer as a local printer;
c)Current printer:Display the name of current printer;
d)New printer: Add a new printer;

e)Manage printers: Manage and edit current printers, including
Activate, Add, Delete, Rename, Update Firmware and Printer Settings;

3.4.2 Extruder0: The function options include Bico, Material (M),


Set as Main Extruder, and Disable Extruder;

a)The Bico setting item is to set the wire width of the extruder;

b)The setting items are mainly Select Printing Consumables, Manage
Materials and Add More Materials from the Market;

c)Set as main extruder: Set the selected extruder as the main extruder;
d)Disable extruder: Disable the selected extruder;
3.4.3 Configure visibility of settings: Configure the visibility of related
parameters;

3.5 Extension
3.5.1 Post-processing - Modify Gcode: Set and modify related Gcode and
parameters, add and edit script parameters;

3.5.2 Plug-ins installed by user

You can choose the plug-ins installed by yourself and perform related
operations on the related plug-ins;

3.6 Preferences

3.6.1 Configure Creality Slicer: Configure some basic parameters of the


Creality Slicer software;

3.8 Action Bar

3.8.1 Model moving: After selecting the model, click Move (T) in the left

action bar to pop up an edit box, and then set the X/Y/Z moving distance
and set model lock;

3.8.2 Model scaling: After selecting the model, click Scale (S) in the
left action bar to pop up the scaling edit box, and then set the
scaling size and proportion of X/Y/Z and choose isometric scaling
or equal proportion scaling;

3.8.3 Model rotation: After selecting the model, click the rotation (R)
in the left action bar to pop up the rotation edit box, and then
reset, lay flat, select the face to be aligned with the build plate,
and rotate equidistantly;

3.8.4 Model mirroring: After selecting the model, click Mirror (M) in the
left action bar to pop up the rotating edit box, and then edit the
mirror image of X/Y/Z, and set the model lock;

3.8.5 Model display settings:After selecting the model, click single model
setting in the left action bar to pop up the setting edit box, and
then select normal mode, print as support mode, modify overlap
setting mode or not support overlap mode, and select and edit the
relevant parameters;

3.8.6 Custom support: After selecting the model, click Custom Support
in the left action bar to pop up the support edit box, and then
choose to use square or cylinder support, or check Lower to
Platform and Wider Base, and also set the support size and base
size;

3.8.7 Support interceptor: After selecting the model, click Support


Interceptor in the left action bar, and set the support
interception surface in the mode; there will be interception
display on the mode;

3.8.8 Label anti-warping:After selecting the model, click Anti-warping
in the left action bar to pop up the anti-warping edit box, and
then set the support size, X/Y distance, number of layers, and
check “Define as a capsule” item;

3.9 Left and Right Mouse Button Operation

3.9.1 Left click: To left click on the interface and platform is mainly
to select a model or function.

3.9.2 Right click: To right click the mouse on the interface and platform
is mainly to pop up the function menu, in which you can select center
selected model, delete selected model, copy selected model, select
all models, arrange all models, clear print platform, reload all
models, reset positions of all models, reset changes of all models,
bind model, merge models, or split model;

3.9.3 Right-click rotation: The right-click rotation of the mouse on the


interface and the platform is mainly to rotate the platform. When
rotating, you can see the display of the model of each angle;
3.9.4 Wheel operation: There are two kinds of wheel operation, i.e. zooming
and dragging. When the mouse wheel is scrolled, the platform including
the models can be zoomed in and out, and when the wheel is dragged,
the platform and the model can be shifted;

3.10 Printer

3.10.1 Add Printer: Click the selected model to expand the function
menu for adding printers and managing printers. Select Add
Printer to show the page of model list selection, select a
model, and confirm to add;

3.10.2 Manage printers: Click the selected model to unfold the function
menu for adding printers and managing printers. Select Manage
Printers to show the page of managing printers, and then perform
operations such as activate, add, delete, rename, update firmware
and printer settings;

3.11 Custom Material and Nozzle Hole Diameter

In the custom bar at the top of the interface, click the material
information bar in the center to select the printing material and
set the diameter of the nozzle according to actual needs;

3.12 Configuration File

In the custom bar at the top of the interface, click the print information

on the right to display the configuration file page, which can train
related print information, including print mode, parameter mode, parameter
search,parameter settings, recommended parameters, etc.;

3.13 Slicing

After importing and editing the model, selecting the printer and
configuring the relevant printing parameters, you can click the slice
at the bottom right of the page to slice the model;

3.14 Preview
After slicing, click Preview to enter the slice preview mode, or you
can switch to the preview mode directly at the top of the main page;

3.15 Saving to File

After slicing, click Save to File, configure the path and format, and
click Save to complete the saving of the file;

3.16 Preparation

At the top of the software, 3 pages, prepare, preview and monitor, can
be selected and switched. After clicking Prepare, you will enter the
edit and configuration page before model slicing, which is the preparation
page mentioned here;

3.17 Monitor

At the top of the software, 3 pages, prepare, preview and monitor, can
be selected and switched. After clicking Monitor, you will enter the
monitoring page after printing. If there is no real-time printing task,
the page will be blank;

4. Basic Process of Slicer Software
4.1 Import Model Files

After starting and opening the software, enter the Prepare page of the
software, click the folder above to pop up the Open File box, select
the model to be imported and confirm;

4.2 Select Matching Model
At the top of the software, select the matching model; if there is no
suitable model, you can add a matching model in Add Printer; you can
also set the printer parameters in Manage Printers;

4.3 Select Material and Nozzle Diameter

In the custom bar at the top of the interface, click the material
information bar in the center to select the printing material and set
the diameter of the nozzle according to actual needs;

4.4 Configure Parameter File

In the custom bar at the top of the interface, click the print information
on the right to display the configuration file page, which can train related
print information, including print mode, parameter mode, parameter search,
parameter settings, recommended parameters, etc.;

4.5 Slicing and Preview

After importing and editing the model, selecting the printer and
configuring the relevant printing parameters, you can click the slice
at the bottom right of the page to slice the model; after slicing, you
can click Preview to enter the slice preview page, or switch to the
preview mode directly at the top of the main page;

4.5 Saving Slice File

After slicing, click Save to File, configure the path and format, and
click Save to complete the saving of the file;
