1. This Question Paper has 5 Sections A, B, C, D and E.
2. Section A has 20 MCQs carrying 1 mark each
3. Section B has 5 questions carrying 02 marks each.
4. Section C has 6 questions carrying 03 marks each.
5. Section D has 4 questions carrying 05 marks each.
6. Section E has 3 case based integrated units of assessment (04 marks each) with
sub- parts of the values of 1, 1 and 2 marks each respectively.
7. All Questions are compulsory. However, an internal choice in 2 Questions of 5
marks, 2 Questions of 3 marks and 2 Questions of 2 marks has been provided. An
internal choice has been provided in the 2marks questions of Section E
8. Draw neat figures wherever required. Take π =22/7 wherever required if not
stated.

Section A consists of 20 questions of 1 mark each

In the given figure, QA ⊥ AB and PB ⊥ AB. If AO = 20 cm, BO = 12 cm,

PB = 18 cm, find AQ.


Q. 24 PA and PB are tangents from P to the circle with centre O. At the point M, a tangent is 2
drawn cutting PA at K and PB at N. Prove that KN=AK+BN.

Q. 25 Cards numbered 1 to 30 are put in a bag. A card is drawn at random 2

A train travels a distance of 480 Km at uniform speed . If the speed had
been 8 Km/ h less, then it would have taken 3 hours more to cover
same distance . Find the speed of train.

Two tangents TP and TQ are drawn from an external point T with


centre O as shown in figure. If they are inclined to each other at an

the boat to reach the shore.

Section E consists of 3 Case Study Based questions of 4 marks each
Q. 36 Your friend Aryan wants to participate in a 200m race. He can 4
currently run that distance in 51 seconds and with each day of practice
it takes him 2 seconds less. He wants to do in 31 seconds.

Q. 37 In a GPS, The lines that run east-west are known as lines of latitude, 4
and the lines running north-south are known as lines of longitude. The
latitude and the longitude of a place are its coordinates and the
distance formula is used to find the distance between two places. The
distance between two parallel lines is approximately 150 km. A family
from Uttar Pradesh planned a round trip from Lucknow (L) to Puri (P)
via Bhuj (B) and Nashik (N) as shown in the given figure below.

Based on the above information answer the following questions using


the coordinate geometry.
1. Find the distance between Lucknow (L) to Bhuj(B).

2.Name the type of triangle formed by the places Lucknow (L), Nashik
(N) and Puri (P) .

3. If Kota (K), internally divide the line segment joining Lucknow (L) to
Bhuj (B) into 3 : 2 then find the coordinate of Kota (K).

OR

Find a place (point) on the longitude (y-axis) which is equidistant from


the points Lucknow (L) and Puri (P).
Q. 38 A solid toy is in the form of a hemisphere surmounted by a right 4
circular cone. The height of the cone is 2 cm, and the diameter of the
base is 4 cm.

Answer the following;

(a) what is the height of the toy?

(b) What will be the volume of toy?

(c) If a right circular cylinder circumscribes the toy, find the


difference between the volumes of the cylinder and the toy.
(Take π = 3.14)

OR

If the right circular cylinder circumscribe a sphere instead of that


toy, what will be the difference between the volumes of the cylinder
and the sphere.
