2. Attendance Check There is no absent today.

All are present ma’am.
Class monitor, may I know who are absent
today?

Excellent!

Ma’am, it was all about

3. Reviewing Previous Lesson Demonstrating the location
of places on Earth using

discussed yesterday.

What are the lessons we have yesterday?

Ma’am, its the longitude and

Yes, very good! latitude coordinate system.

So what are the two we use in order to Lines of latitude run in an

Earth.
Define what is latitude?
Lines of longitude run in a
north-south direction.
Define longitude?

You got it right!

Okay class, let us move on to our next topic

which is the continuation of our lesson last
meeting.
B. Establishing purpose of Motivation
the lesson
Before we start our lesson let us first listen
and sing the song entitled ‘MASDAN MO
ANG KAPALIGIRAN’ by Asin, and answer
the following question that follow.

Are you ready?

Yes Ma'am.
Excellent! Lets start.

(teacher plays the video of a song ‘Masdan

mo ang kapaligiran’)

Process Questions:
1. What do you feel after singing the song?
Students answer may vary
2. Why do you feel sad? Students answer may vary

3. Why do you feel happy?

Students answer may vary
4.What are the Natural Resources
mentioned in a song?
Water, land , air and
biodiversity.
Okay very good.

So this morning , we were about to dig deeper

on the concept of the natural resources and how
are we going to use it sustainably. The following
are the objectives that we must attain.

(Students read the objectives)

Learning Objectives:
 Identify the
different energy
resources.
 Classify the
different types of
energy
resources as to
renewable and
non-renewable.
 Value the
importance of
the Energy
Resources by
citing the
different ways to
use it
sustainably.
C. Discussing new concept Before we proceed to our new lesson, let’s
and practicing new skills have an activity first to discuss new concepts
and to test your prior knowledge of the
different Energy resources.

In your Araling Panlipunan Class, have you

already discussed about "LIKAS NA
YAMAN?"

What do we mean by "LIKAS NA YAMAN" It is the things that can we

class? get from nature and only
nature can produce it.

Activity: Perfect Match!

Direction:
1.Divide the class into 4 groups.
2. Each group will be given pictures and
strips of paper where Energy resources are
written on it.
3. Each group will Identify the different
picture as to what types of Energy
Resources is it and it’s uses.
4.They will also identify the uses of this
different Energy Resources.
5. Representative for each group will discuss
their output.
6. Each group will be given 5 minutes to
finish the task.
Expected Answer

Energy

Uses

( After 5 minutes )

Start the presentation of the output.

Process Questions:
1. Which group do you think were not able to Students answer may vary
get the correct answer?

2. Which group do you think were able to get Students answer may vary
the answer correctly?

You got it right!, And that is our topic for

today. The Energy Resources and ways on
how to sustains Energy resources.

So are you ready to listen ? Yes Ma'am.

Okay so let's start.

D. Abstraction/ Developing The teacher will solidify the data of the different
mastery Energy Resources in the photo as to Renewable
and Non-renewable sources.

So this time, let us have a drill.

Direction: You are going to classify the different

Energy Resources as to Renewable and Non-
renewable.
Raised the green flag if it is Renewable & red flag
if it is Non-Renewable.

Solar energy the radiation from the Sun capable of

producing heat, causing chemical reactions, or
generating electricity.
Wind Energy is a form of energy that harnesses

the power of the wind to generate electricity.

Nuclear Energy the use of nuclear reactions to

produce electricity.

Geothermal Energy is heat energy from the

earth

Hydrothermal is a type of geothermal energy that

is generated by the heat of water and steam that
is found deep underground.
Biomass fuels are wood, crops, manure, and
some garbage. When burned, the chemical
energy in biomass is released as heat.

Okay Very good.

Just stay with your group because we will be

having another set of activities for you to enjoy
and at the same time you will learn.

E. Finding practical Our lesson doesn’t end there, let us have

applications of concepts another activity to apply the concepts that
and skills in daily living you have learned.

Activity 2: Make a difference!

Direction: Learners will group themselves to

what output they like to present.

Learners will value the importance of the

different uses of Earth’s resources by using it
sustainably.

Learners have the chance to choose the type

of output they like to present.

 Visual ( drawing, poster)

 Auditory ( Poem or song)
 Kinesthetic ( Interpretative dance ,
role play)

Rubrics

(Presentation of each group)

Very good. Let us give claps for you made

the task excellently.

F. Generalization As a wrap up:

Very well then, let's have a review of what

you have learned from our discussion and
activities.

1. What is natural resources? Ma’am, natural resources

are the things that we can
find in our environment that
we use to meet our needs

2. What are the 2 categories of Earth’s Renewable and non

resources? renewable

3. Differentiate Renewable to Non-renewable Renewable resources are

resources. material that can be
replaced easily while Non-
renewable are resources
that are in limited supply.

4.What are the different Earth’s Resources? Solar energy, hydrothermal

energy, geothermal energy,
nuclear energy, wind
energy, biodiversity and
biomass.

5. Cite ways on how to sustainably use the Conserve water, participate

different Earth’s Resources? to activities that are related
in making the nature clean
and green.

In summary, summary natural resources

plays a vital role in our daily living, without it
life would be impossible, we are what we
are , have and still surviving now because of
those resources that we depend on.

Do you have any questions? None, ma’am.

So if none, get ready for an assessment.

G. Evaluating learning I. Multiple Choice Test
