Qualifications
• Students need to be currently enrolled as an undergraduate seeking a Construction
Management, Construction Engineering, or comparable degree.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
• The ability to engage in technical aspects of the job, learn new job skills by engaging in
the technical aspects of the job and apply new skills as they are taught.
• You need the ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• You need to have the ability to work in a team environment.
• The ability to multitask is required.
• Customer service skills are required.
• Strong organizational skills are required.
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project, Excel, and
Word, as well as HCSS and Bluebeam is required.
• You will need a clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and
drawings.
• You need to have a reliable source of transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance.
• You need to be willing to travel to the local job sites as assigned.
Responsibilities
• Interns will acquire real-world experience throughout the year, and benefit from close
mentorship and directly engaging in activities that will enable them to develop a solid
foundation in construction management.
• Paired, dedicated mentors will guide each intern through a checklist of contracting
activities.
• Interns are exposed to various disciplines within Mozingo Construction in a structured
framework.
• Interns are expected to develop detailed, weekly project recaps that include a description
of their detailed collaboration activities, completed assigned tasks, and their key
takeaways from each task.
• Learn how to write detailed proposals, prepare bid analysis and reviews.
• Understand and demonstrate project scheduling.
• Attend pre-bid walk-throughs.
• Learn the Mozingo management process of project labor control, material handling and
job-cost analysis.
• Learn how to effectively manage subcontractors, materials, and equipment.
• Learn how to work directly with owners, construction managers, architects, engineers,
and contractors and maintain a positive working relationship.
• Assist in preparation of quantity take-offs.
• Maintain accurate and timely project documentation and correspondence.
• Understand how to prepare a financial job cost analysis.
• Learn the administration of the Mozingo corporate safety program to ensure job site
safety.
• Understand how specialized equipment is utilized.
• Track and cost value material handling.

Job description
We are seeking motivated college students with a strong work ethic to join our ongoing
internship program. This internship opportunity is offered in two locations; Oakdale and Gold
River, California, and is specifically designed to equip interns with the essential tools and
resources needed to gain comprehensive insight into the underground utility specialty
construction industry.
