Reflection

Reflecting on the activities we did in "The Teacher and the Community, the School
Culture, and Organizational Leadership with Focus on the Philippine TVET System," I’ve
learned so much about the role of teachers not only in classrooms but also in shaping
communities and the workplace. The focus on the Technical-Vocational Education and
Training (TVET) system in the Philippines has shown me how education can be practical,
skills-based, and directly impactful to students’ lives and futures.

Through the group tasks and discussions, I understood the importance of building
strong relationships between schools, communities, and industries. It’s inspiring to see how a
school can bridge the gap between education and employment, giving students real
opportunities to succeed. The hands-on activities taught me to think about how leadership and
school culture influence the learning environment. They reminded me that being a teacher
also means being a leader who can bring positive change to the community.

As a future educator, I will apply these lessons by always keeping the bigger picture
in mind. I want to help students not just with their academics but also with gaining skills that
can prepare them for real-life opportunities. I also hope to work closely with the community
and industries, creating partnerships that will benefit students and make learning more
meaningful for them. These reflections make me feel grateful for the chance to learn and
grow in this field, and I’m motivated to do my best to make a difference.

Autobiography

My name is Crizia Bernadette L. Vergara, and I was born on July 11, 2005 in
Gabriella Silang General Hospital. Growing up, I always found joy in learning new things
and exploring the world around me. My family played an important role in shaping who I am
today. They encouraged me to be curious and to work hard for what I want. My parents, in
particular, taught me the value of kindness, honesty, and persistence. These lessons have
guided me throughout my life.

As a child, I was always interested in school. I always love to cook and engaging in
activities that helped me learn. I wasn’t the best at everything, but I always gave my best
effort and enjoyed the process of growing and improving. My teachers were a big influence
on me. They didn’t just teach subjects; they taught me how to be a better person. I admired
their ability to make complex ideas seem simple and interesting.

I attended Cabugao National High School for my High School education, where I was
introduced to the idea of becoming a teacher. I realized that I wanted to help others the way
my teachers helped me. This inspired me to pursue a degree in education. Currently, I am
studying Bachelor of Technical Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTED) Major in Food
Service Management at University of Northern Philippines. My course is aligned with my
passion. Thus, I’m so grateful that with my passion in cooking, I will not only teach but
impart practical skills in my future students. Hence, it is important to be focused on becoming
a teacher who can connect with students, help them grow, and support them in their learning
journey.

Aside from my studies, I enjoy cooking, baking, and reading manhwas. These
activities allow me to relax and recharge, and they also teach me valuable skills that I hope to
share with my future students. As I look toward the future, I am excited to become an
educator. I hope to create a learning space where students feel supported, understood, and
encouraged to reach their full potential. I know that being a teacher is not always easy, but I
believe that with patience, dedication, and a positive attitude, I can make a difference in my
students' lives.

In the end, my goal is simple: to inspire others to love learning as much as I do , to

instill some practical skills within them and to help them discover their own paths to success.
