A3 Plus - A5 - A6 Plus - A7 Plus (Series 2019) - TECHNICAL MANUAL
INSTALLATION AND MECHANICAL ADJUSTMENT OF DENTAL UNIT
CAUTION:
Once the dental unit has been installed in the dental surgery and the water has filled the ducting, the apparatus is expo-
sed to the risk of contamination by aquatic microorganisms in the mains water supply; these can cause biofilm to form
in the ducting. For this reason it is recommended that you only install the dental unit when you are ready to use it on a
daily basis and that you carry out the decontamination procedures as per the schedules provided from the very first day
of installation.
1 - HANDLING AND SHIPMENT OF THE DENTAL CHAIR
WARNING! Wear the proper protection:
1.1 - General procedure
An ID code and warning symbol are stamped on each rod.
The rods have been treated with rust-preventative and must only be used to lift and handle the dental chairs indicated
in the instructions manual.
The rods must not be used for any other purpose than that specified in the instructions.
The rods must be kept in a suitable sheltered place to prevent the material from rusting or deteriorating.
The rods must be used together to avoid placing too great a load on only two of them causing them to bend or be
damaged.
1.2 - Instructions for use
- do not change the set-up of the dental chair (it should remain as it was in its packing) or apply any other weight.
- when the chair is being handled make sure the load remains perfectly level to prevent all the weight from bearing down
on two levers and just one operator.
- each time the rods are used make sure that the tooth of the rod is correctly inserted in the rectangular slot provided.
- periodically check the condition of the rods.
- these rods can only be used for handling ANTHOS dental chairs.
- the overall weight of the dental chair is 115 Kg whereas the dental unit weighs 90 Kg.

WARNING! The characteristics of the floor must assure the breaking strength of the anchor bolts is not
less than 1200 daN each (considering Rck cement strength 20 MPa).
NOTE:
Wherever concrete floors are not present, it is advisable to:
- have qualified personnel prepare an area fir anchoring the bolts provided with the equipment;
- or, have qualified personnel prepare an area with embedded threaded bars. In this case, the dimensional specifica-
tions for securing (not provided) must be:
- no. 2 threaded bars M10;
- length min. 40 mm, length max. 60 mm;
- bar strength class 8.8;
- medium nut M10 UNI 5588 strength class 8.
NOTE:
Wherever brick floors are present, chemical anchors should be used (not supplied):
FISCHER chemical anchor consisting of:
- anchor FIS HK H20x85 (item 41906);
- steel bush with internal threading FIP 14x80 M10 i (item 43633);
- T-BOND chemical anchor.
Drilling: Ø20 mm; depth: 95 mm.
Thoroughly clean the hole before installation. Any type of silicon gun can be used to apply T-BOND resin.
When the cartridge is new, discard the initial resin until it is an even color before installing it. Inject resin regularly starting
from the bottom of the hole (fill at least 2/3). Put in the bush by turning it to assure even distribution and adherence of
the resin.
Observe the hardening and definitive bonding times:
Support temperature °C Hardening time Application time
+0 ÷ +5 - 360 min
+5 ÷ +10 15 min 180 min
+10 ÷ +20 8 min 120 min
+20 ÷ +30 5 min 60 min
+30 ÷ +40 3 min 30 min
ìHardening time refers to the time within which perpendicularity and the position of the bush can be slightly adjusted.
Application time refers to the minimum time required for the resin to completely harden for definitive bonding.
WARNING!
In any case, as effective anchoring is strictly dependant on the material on which it is done and given the va-
riety of ways in which floors are constructed, the installation worker is responsible for assuring the support is
suitable.
The fastening characteristics must assure the extraction/breaking strength is not less than 1200 daN each.
Cefla s.c. shall not be held responsible for any personal injury or property damage deriving from failure to fol-
low the instructions given above.
