wonderful kind I pray you shall reap the fruit of your labour.

My appreciation goes to the Industrial Training Fund for their foresight in putting

this program in place and also to the Food Technology Department, The Federal

Polytechnic Ado Ekiti, for providing a platform on which I was engaged on the

training.

This Industrial Report presents the experience garnered during my four months of Industrial
Training undertaken at Royal Birds Hotel and Tower which is located at Alagbaka, Akure, Ondo
State which lasted from October 2023 to February, 2024. I was introduced to various
departments and tasked with various tasks such as serving guests, picking meat pie, answering
intercom calls, and interacting with guests. I was also taught how to sell, print slip reports, and
count stocks. I was also shown the restaurant menu, how to welcome guests, set cutleries,
arrange tables, pack meat pie, and manage stock. I was tasked with making local dishes and
safety precautions in the kitchen, such as hand washing and covering hair. I was also taught
about kitchen utensils and safety precautions. This report discuss the technical skills gained
during the training period and justifying the relevance of the scheme in equipping students with
needed technical competence to thrive in the real world.
