Customization
At Avature, we do not mandate a one-size-fits-all model. We differentiate
ourselves with a continuously evolving and highly configurable platform designed
to provide a consumer web experience for end-users and a fit-for-purpose high-
powered processing engine for large-scale rules-based data processing.
The configuration of your platform (e.g., data model, workflows, forms, email
templates, job templates, portals, branding, reports, dashboards, etc.) is defined
with your team during implementation and can be extended after Go-Live as your
use of Avature evolves and requirements change over time. In addition to
training, your system admins are provided with extensive management and
configuration permissions to manage platform changes directly from the UI,
without Avature intervention.
Localization
Avature specializes in supporting global companies in delivering their recruiting
strategies globally and regionally. Many of our customers leverage Avature in
dozens of geographies (e.g., L'Oréal uses Avature globally to recruit in 60
markets), and we support recruiting programs in over 130 markets worldwide.
Our customers can choose to define one single global business process, or region

or country-specific processes with a unique candidate database or a segmented
one for each region.
The platform can be designed to meet the specific requirements of each region,
and we can deliver different content (e.g., landing pages, microsites,
communications, etc.) for a tailored candidate experience regardless of the
region.
Users can set the language and time zone of their preference, and the system can
automatically set the time zone based on the browser's settings.
All external-facing assets like career sites, portals, landing pages, emails, meeting
invites, offers, etc. can be presented in any language required. Each user can set
its own localization.
We offer configuration to accommodate local differences in currency, the first day
of the week and the use of points and commas for numerical fields, address
format, among others items. Avature has advanced language parsing capabilities,
with automatic parsing and pre-population of information as part of the
registration and apply process when candidates upload their resume. Avature
supports i18n such that all customer content, including custom fields, values,
workflow steps, statuses, etc. specific to your organization can be included in the
language skin, even for double byte languages, so that your users see consistent
content in their preferred language.

Candidate Sourcing
& Searching
Your team needs advanced search tools
to make it easy to find candidates
anywhere, from your database, to agency

vendors and the web. The Avature platform can provide users with a variety of
native sourcing and search tools that respond to different needs and preferences.
Search tool powered by semantic search. Avature provides customers
with an advanced, AI-driven search tool powered by semantic search that
enables users to find candidates. After users carry out a first search using
keywords (highlighted by the tool in the results list) and Boolean operators,
the platform uses a proprietary algorithm to automatically suggest related job
titles and skills as users type in. Advanced filters can also be applied on the fly
to further segment results.
WebSources. A federated search algorithm that can search for talent across
dozens of job boards, databases and the open web, and then automatically
import search results to highly segmented talent pools. Searches can be saved
and run at the frequency stated by your team.
Drag-and-drop. Users can easily drag-and-drop individual resumes into the
UI for the automated creation or update of candidates.
Mapped spreadsheets. Avature offers Import Data, a wizard-based tool that
can enable your team to easily import candidates in batch using mapped
spreadsheets.
Dropbox. Resumes can be sent to an Avature
address to create candidates in the system, link
them to projects and attach documents to
existing records. Email communications with
candidates can also be imported to Avature this
way.
Candidate Import Extension. A browser-based
button which enables users to import candidate
information by parsing information directly from
any website, including employment focused
social networks.
Mass Resume Importer. This feature saves
recruiters valuable time by allowing them to
import multiple resumes from a single file (e.g.,
resume books from universities) and have person records created or updated
from the information parsed from the file, without requiring help from Avature.

Talent Pooling &
Candidate Management
Avature centralizes different tools that cater to the needs of different users,
enabling your team to review, evaluate and pre-select the high potential
candidates your organization needs in no time.
List Manager and Quick Review. Your team can review and manage talent
from a single screen with our List Manager:
1. Enable your team to create, manage and automatically replenish candidate
segments
(talent pools).
2. Lists display any candidate information needed to make decisions, including
forms and attachments.
3. The tool enables users to group and sort information as needed for a better
candidate review, and users can filter the search using Boolean operators,
keywords (highlighted in the list) and advanced filters.
4. Quick Review is a special candidate view mode that enables users to see a
customer-defined, branded summary of a candidate profile, including
elements such as scores, previous feedback, assessment results, skills, etc.
Your team can quickly flick through these profiles and capture their decision
in one click.
5. Actions in batch include engaging candidates in campaigns, sending
communications, linking candidates to a pipeline or requisition (including the
specific step in the process), sending invitations to coordinate an interview,
inviting candidates to complete an assessment, updating information in
records, tagging or untagging records, updating workflow steps, creating a
one-page branded summary of candidates to send to external users, and
more.
Candidate lists per stage in pipelines and job records. Pipeline and job
records provide users with the option to review candidates without the need to
open their profiles individually. Each record lists candidates per stage in the
process, and information is actionable, which means users can go from the record
to profiles if needed.

Skills Framework
At Avature, our skills program has been on an ever-expanding journey since 2021.
Over the course of our years, we've successfully introduced numerous advanced
features, such as parsing capabilities, semantic search functionalities, and AI-
driven matching. Our commitment to enhancing skills within the platform has not
only evolved but also delivered a robust range of capabilities empowering our
users.
The base of everything we do is our in-house skills ontology. We built our ontology
in-house and constantly expand it based on our customers' requests to better
accommodate their evolving needs. Since many of our customers run talent
operations in several locations, it is currently supported in English, German,
French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese, Chinese and Dutch and many
more.

Employees and candidates can rate the proficiency of all their skills using an
intuitive interface. This information can then be used to provide them with more
accurate opportunity recommendations according to their skill proficiency.
Semantic Search
Advanced Search with Semantic Suggestions
Driven by deep learning, our semantic engine understands user intent and
intelligently expands search queries via relevant industry-specific terminology.
Users can add or remove suggested job titles and skills with one click.
Beyond turning search novices into experts, semantic search corrects spelling
errors, allows users to search by commonly described regions, like “Bay Area,”
and compensates for lack of fluency in a language.

Job Recommendations on the Career Marketplace
This feature provides AI-powered job recommendations on portals, such as an
external career marketplace or an internal talent marketplace. Candidates (or
employees) can receive personalized job recommendations based on their
resume/CV or profile information if logged in.
Job-To-Job Matching
This enhancement enables users to find jobs similar to the one they are currently
working on. With this enhancement, users can leverage similar recruiting
scenarios and use that historical data to make more informed decisions.
Candidate Recommendations
This feature suggests leads directly from job records based on the specific
requirements of the position. The suggested leads are ranked and sorted
according to how closely their profile matches these requirements. Recruiters are
thus able to save time when starting to source for a position, and they can also
save and refine these searches for future use.
Recommendations are calculated with our matching algorithm. [ClientName] can
add hard filters (e.g., show only candidates that have been updated in the last X
months, show candidates that were not rejected in the past, etc.) and dynamic
filters based on the job (e.g., located in the US, 3 or more years for experience,
etc.)
Candidate Ranking
This feature is designed to automatically rank all candidates that have applied to
a certain job based on how close their profile matches its requirements.
Recruiters can save a lot of time when screening applicants for a given position,
as they can see and review the most suitable candidates first. And because our
scoring and matching algorithms are built in-house, they are fully explainable and
can be optimized to match your unique recruiting needs. [ClientName] can set up
different weights for each attribute (i.e., Job Title: 60% and Skills: 40%).
Person-To-Person Matching
Starting from a candidate record, the algorithm will look for other people who
share similar skills and work experience in the talent database. With this
enhancement, users will be able to efficiently discover new qualified leads and
speed up the sourcing process.

incorporate responsive design so that elements such as text, media, site layout

System Updates
Avature has a high-frequency, low-risk software release
cycle. Our customers always run the latest version of the
software, which is automatically updated every two weeks
by Avature’s specialists. Each software update adds new
features, feature enhancements and bug-fixes to the
system, and there is no impact to our customers’
personalized software configurations.

The Landing Page Builder let users
create sign-up pages and record update
portals.
Sign-up pages are one-page portals that
users can create and customize
themselves. The people who visit your
sign-up pages can create and update
their personal information in Avature. For
example, users can use sign-up pages to
let candidates sign up for your company’s
talent community, target specific people
for a folder they want to fill, and sign
candidates up for an event by designing a
portal with a specific theme and
multimedia tailored to the occasion. Users
can further customize sign-up pages to
include many other types of fields. And
once created, they can build links that
they send through email or portal access
requests, among others, to invite people
to access the sign-up page.

Theme Builder for Landing Pages
This feature allows users to build and
manage branding themes for all the pages
they create using their Landing Page
Builder. This new, highly visual, self-
service editor gives users more flexibility
and control over the look and feel of their
landing pages without a need for coding
skills.
This tool can help [ClientName] create
multiple branding skins and deliver
targeted content, taking their recruitment
initiatives to the next level. Users can
assign different themes to different
landing pages, giving you full control of
the branding and style guidelines for a
range of different audiences.
Users can create new themes from
scratch, use one of the templates available, or enhance a theme they have
previously produced.
Our visual editor is an intuitive and easy-to-use self-service tool that allows users
to make all their changes from a centralized interface. Users can enrich their
landing page with multimedia content in a broad range of formats such as text,
pictures, videos and links to create consistency and align their themes to the look
and feel of their employer brand. Themes can be created, edited and previewed
for desktop, tablet and mobile versions.

Theme Builder for Email Templates
Like its counterpart for landing pages, the Theme Builder for Email Templates
offers users an intuitive drag-and-drop editor to quickly create and customize
email branding themes on their own. This feature gives recruiters full creative
control over their employer brand within their email templates., to ensure visual
consistency between your email campaigns and other touchpoints, such as
landing pages.
Like the Theme Builder for Landing Pages, this feature enables you to preview and
save email themes so approved designs can be used across your team.

Reporting
Since all of our solutions are integrated in a single platform, Avature can provide
[ClientName] with full visibility into your process. You can generate foundational
and custom reports on any information stored in the system. All Avature reporting
is live.
Custom Reports
Avature has a Reporting Services team that can build reports for customers at our
standard hourly rate.
Report Builder
In addition to custom reports our specialists can create, Avature offers a Report
Builder as an add-on module for customers who want to develop reports
themselves using the UI. Custom reports created with the Builder can filter by and
display any data element available in the database, including simple and complex
calculations for advanced analytics. Avature would provide admin users with
specific training on how to best leverage the capabilities of the builder.

Role-based dashboards
Reports can be combined to build role-
based dashboards. Admins can create
and edit dashboards from the dashboard
editor: they can choose from 19 dashboard
layouts, and dashboards can have up to 9
dashlets. Visualizations include Bar Chart,
Plotted Line Graph, Simple Table, Grouped
Table, Funnel, Pie Chart, Donut Chart,
Gauge Chart, Area Chart and Heat Map.
You can also add indicators that display
data as a single number to represent
anything on a person, job, or company list.
Dashboards can be configured and stored
in a library, and they can be displayed on the users Home page or their
Dashboard pages.

Avature has a comprehensive integrations toolkit which
enables our customers to integrate with a broad range of third-
party systems including HRIS, ATS, assessments and
background checking, resume database search, text
messaging, and proprietary systems, among others.
Avature integration capabilities include:
Off-the-shelf integrations: Customers can choose from Avature's growing
marketplace of 200+ off-the-shelf pre-built integrations that are maintained by
Avature and require no development. These include leading job boards,
background checking systems, assessment systems, and communication
systems. Off-the-shelf integrations are continuously monitored and maintained
by Avature.
Self-service tools so customers can build, test, monitor and manage your
own integrations. We have a robust feature set that supports the development
of your own integrations directly into your Avature instance. These features
are enabled for privileged users through permissions.
o Avature APIs: Avature provides several APIs designed to cover every use
case from bulk import to user management, including:
o Core API (read and write person, pipelines, requisition records, etc.)

tools:
o Junction: Avature Custom Integrations Framework, Junction, is a
sophisticated framework leveraged by in-house dedicated integration
specialists which allows them to quickly build batch or real-time templated
integration workflows on behalf of customers that are easy to maintain,
secure, centrally monitored and capable of high throughput. Avature
employs flow-based programming, which means that new integrations are
built by reusing hundreds of pre-existing components that encapsulate
specific processes (e.g., converting JSON into CSV) and can be reconnected
endlessly without changing them internally.
o Flat File over SFTP: Consists of a scheduled process executing following a
pre-defined frequency (configurable) to export and import information from
and into Avature. It supports CSV file format exchanged over an SFTP server
that can be hosted either by Avature or [Clientname].
o Reports as Web Services: This mechanism exposes https endpoints on the
customer environment, where HTTPS GET requests can be sent to obtain a
set of records with a specific criteria (e.g., published jobs or candidates who
have reached a final interview round in the hiring process). The response to
the request is sent in real-time and can be provided in different formats
(XML, JSON, CSV).
