Job Description

Title:
Data Architect

Key Missions

Mission is
 defines and deploys data engine functional architecture and data integration
standards，provide technical guidance for design, architecture to engineering team
 designs and structures the tools that will allow access, storage and restitution of data.
 ensures the unification of the regional data repositories.
 leads the standardization and reuse of data in order to optimize their exchange.
 Secure the data quality to implement measures to ensure data accuracy, accessibility
according to the Michelin group’s prescriptions.; And be responsible for regular
health/quality check
 The role engages with cross functional business teams to define the problem statement,
design analytical solutions and operationalize the solutions. Collaboration with data driven
team (regional) & global data team, to fulfil different business demands at the solution
design & architecture level, which compliant with group standard.

Responsibilities:

 Define & Design


- Lead to define the principles, guidelines, standards and solution patterns (including but not limit
design pattern, coding convention, code review, performance testing guideline) to ensure solution
decisions are aligned with the future-state architecture vision.
- Assist Platform manager and Data Owners in identifying needs and defining business objects and
their links.
- Understand business drivers(future and current state), and determine corresponding system
designs and change requirements to drive the targeted business outcomes
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions, while meeting data
engine design standards. and a proactive approach, focusing on reusable solutions to improve the
efficiency.
- Ensure compliance on data protection and define authentication standards and data access
control.

 Technology Advisory & Architecture Governance


- Identify analytics and opportunities that will craft the future of the data ai platform by explaining
methodology, implementing analysis and interpreting results.
- Monitor the current-state solution portfolio to identify deficiencies through aging of the
technologies used by the data application, or misalignment with business requirements

- Understand technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging
technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models. Provide thought
leadership in the areas of advanced data techniques, including data modeling, data governance,
data integration, data management, data visualization, etc.
- Work with tech peers (e.g. EA, application and infrastructure architects) to complete tech
evaluation, selection, proposal development & presentation to address business question
- Disseminate data quality methods and tools in the business lines and in systems migration and/or
initialization projects.
- Ensure the accessibility of repositories, maps of definitions and data models of business objects at
regional level.
- Documents the designed solutions (SAR)

 Deploy - Adjust
- Define generic implementation models and canonical integration objects are defined and used at
Regional level.
- Participate in the description and/or validation of reference data management processes in
applications that carry all or part of a repository

Requirements:

 In-depth knowledge of and experience with modern data management technologies (e.g.,
SQL/NoSQL Database, Data Warehouse, Data Lake)
 In-depth knowledge of and experience with data engineering technologies such as (ETL/ELT,
Streaming, Spark, tool like Azure SQL DB, SSIS, , Data Factory, Databricks)
 In-depth knowledge of and experience with analytics & BI technologies (Power BI)
 Hands-on experience in cloud technologies (Azure/Ali) network and security technologies is
preferred
 Experience in Data Science and Advanced Analytic tools (e.g., Python, R) is preferred
 Experience on Ali cloud Data solution(Data works/maxcompute) is a plus
 Proficiency with Agile work management software and tools (Azure DevOps, Jira,
ServiceNow)
 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or
related fields.
 At least 7 years on BI/Data related solution in designing, implementing and and more than 3
years of experience in operating large-scale data & analytics solutions as data architect
role(Data Warehouse or Data Lake)
 Good verbal and written communication in Mandarin and English
 Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members from diverse
backgrounds.
 Passionate about new technologies and innovation, adaptable to a fast-paced and dynamic
environment.
 Open-minded, reliable and independent, Enthusiastic and self-motivated with excellent time
management skills and strong initiative.
