Using current literature, complete "Case 17-9, Contradictory Evidence" that is attached. Here
are the specific questions that need to be answered:
Required:
For each case in the document:
1. Identify and summarize the corroborative and contradictory audit evidence in each
scenario.
2. Determine what additional information, if any, is needed to reach a conclusion regarding
management’s assertion.
3. On the basis of the case facts, determine whether management’s assertion is supportable
and how additional information obtained might change your conclusion.
4. What are the ethical issues that need to be considered? (this question is in addition to the
ones at the end of the case)
Use the Case Study Guidelines under the "Getting Started" tab as a guide on writing this.
Your paper should be a minimum of 3 pages (not including the cover sheet and references)
and follow APA guidelines.
