Resistor Code
Object:
The objective of this exercise is reading of resistor color
code and resistor SMD code, then measure it by a Digital
Multimeter (DMM), after that determine the deviation
percentage between measured and nominal value.
Theory:
Resistors use either a series of painted bands or written
labels to specify resistance values. Other things that may
be on the label include tolerances (the percentage
uncertainty between the labeled resistance and the
actual resistance), a temperature coefficient rating (not
common), and a reliability level rating (reliability that the
resistor will maintain its tolerance over a 1000-hour
cycle). Measurement of resistors with DMM is a very
straight forward process. Simply set the DMM to the
resistance function and choose the scale is higher than the
expected value, then clip the leads to the resistor (after
removing at least one terminal from its circuit) and
record the resulting value.

Resistor Color Code
The color code consists of:
Four bands (for Metal-Oxide and Carbon Film resistor), then: `R=AB×10C ±D Ω
A: first band.
B: second band.
C: third band (is the multiplier or the number of zeros).
D: fourth band (is the tolerance on the resistance value).
