Detailed Lesson Plan in PE

I. Objectives:
At the end of discussion, the Students will able to do the following with
90% Mastery:
a. Define what is basic exercise
b. Perform the different kind of basic exercise
c. Recognize the important of exercise in daily lives.

a. Topic: “Basic Exercise”

C. Motivation
Before we go on to our topic for today,
let’s have a game first.

But before that I want you to group


yourself into four.

I will give you an envelope and inside is
a puzzle and all you have to do is to
arrange it to form a picture.

You only have 30 seconds to do the task


and after doing it, just clap your hand as
a sign that you are done, and one of
your group mate will tack it on the
board.

Time is up! Now let’s take a look at the

D. Activity

To start our lesson for this morning, we


will have a game. Do you want to play a
game?

“The title of our game is “GUESS ME”

“I have here a flash cards, you will


identify if it is an exercise or not. All you
need to do is to say the word “YES IT IS”
if it as an example of exercise and “NO
ITS NOT” if otherwise.

our lesson today based on what we did

Okay now, very good! Its all about
exercise. So who among you here do an “To make my body more flexible
exercise everyday? and healthy.”

Wow! That’s great! May I know the “Exercise makes our body

Okay. So, Exercise is any bodily activity


that enhances or maintains physical
fitness and overall health and wellness.

Okay. Now, let’s proceed to the basic


exercises.

The basic Exercises are:


SQUATS
A squat is a strength exercise in which
the trainee lowers their hips from a
standing position and then stands back
up.

1.Start by standing straight, with your


feet. Slightly wider than shoulder-width
apart, and your arms at your sides.

2.Brace your core and, keeping your


chest and chin up, push your hips back
and bend your knees as if you’re going
to sit in a chair.

3.Ensuring your knees don’t bow inward


or outward, drop down until your thighs
are parallel to the ground, bringing your
arms out in front of you in a comfortable
position. Pause for one second, then
extend your legs and return to the
starting position.

JUMPING JACKS

A jumping jack, also known as a star


jump and called a side-straddle hop in
the US military, is a physical jumping
exercise performed by jumping to a
position with the legs spread wide and
the hands going overhead, sometimes
in a clap, and then returning to a
position with the feet together and the
arms at the sides.

1.Stand upright with your legs together,


arms at your sides.

2.Bend your knees slightly, and jump


into the air.

3.As you jump, spread your legs to be


about shoulder-width apart. Stretch your
arms out and over your head.

4.Jump back to starting position.

5.Repeat.

PUSH UP

Pushups are one of the most basic yet


effective bodyweight moves you can
perform because of the number of
muscles that are recruited to perform
them.
1.Start in a plank position. Your core
should be tight, shoulders pulled down
and back, and your neck neutral.

2.Bend your elbows and begin to lower

Your body down to the floor. When

Elbows and return to the start. Focus on


keeping your elbows close to your body
during the movement.
3. Complete 3 sets of as many reps as
possible.

JOGGING

Jogging is a form of sustained running or


trotting at a steady and slow pace. It is
much slower than running but is faster
than walking.

4.burn plenty of kilojoules

5.help maintain a healthy weight.

Exercise helps people lose weight and


lower the risk of some diseases
including obesity, type 2 diabetes, and
high blood pressure. Exercise also can
help keep your body at a healthy
weight. Exercise can help a person age
well.”

“Okay class, do you understand the
importance of exercise?”

G. APPLICATION

“Okay, since we are done discussing our


topic. We will have a short activity.”

Are you ready?”

“Okay, the instruction is; find a partner.


Each of you will perform the basic
exercise that we learned earlier. Repeat
it 5 times. Perform it correctly, okay?”
