Yarn Substitute:
Using the same type of yarn throughout the project is
recommended. The pattern suggests Cotton DK yarn, but you are
not limited to this type of yarn. Any yarn can be used if you take into
consideration your sizing for the project will differ.
Tension | Gauge
Gauge is NOT necessary for this project to be perfect.

However COUNTING your stitches will ensure a true success of this
project!
Size
Approx. 34 x 34 inches / 86 x 86 cm
Remember – if you use/choose a different yarn weight/hook size
your blanket will be a different size!

The blanket is worked in the round without turning around – SL
ST into corner 2 DC – start next round in 2 CH corner.
To keep the blanket square – corners from round 3 are worked
[2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC]
Color changes are done at the end of each ball and not
necessarily in the corners.
Instructions:

With yarn make a magic circle/ or CH 4; SL ST into first CH to form a
ring.
RND 1: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 2 DC into ring; *CH 3; work 3
DC into ring. **
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH; SL ST into
next 2 DC; SL ST into next corner space.
RND 2: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [2 DC; CH 2; 3 DC] into 3 CH
space; CH 1. *Work [3 DC; CH 2; 3 DC] into next 3 CH space. **
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH; SL ST into
next 2 DC; SL ST into next corner space.
RND 3: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; CH 2; 2 DC] into corner
space; CH 1; work 3 DC into next 1 CH space; CH 1.
*Work [2 DC; CH 2; 2 DC] into next corner space; CH 1; work 3 DC
into next 1 CH space; CH 1. **
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH; SL ST into
DC; SL ST into next corner space.
RND 4: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; CH 2; 2 DC] into corner
space; (CH 1; work 3 DC into next 1 CH space) x 2; CH 1.
*Work [2 DC; CH 2; 2 DC] into next corner space; (CH 1; work 3 DC
into next 1 CH space) x 2; CH 1.**

RND 5 – 31: Repeat RND 4 increasing with each round as follows:
RND 5 – (CH 1; work 3 DC into next 1 CH space) x 3
RND 6 – (CH 1; work 3 DC into next 1 CH space) x 4
RND 7 – (CH 1; work 3 DC into next 1 CH space) x 5

RND 32: CH 1; work 3 SC into corner space; work 1 SC into each DC
across.
*Work 3 SC into next corner space; work 1 SC into each DC across.
** Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into first SC worked.
RND 33: CH 1; work 1 SC into same SC; work 2 SC into next SC;
work 1 SC into each SC across until the 3 SC in next corner space.
*Work 1 SC into next SC; work 2 SC into next SC; work 1 SC into each
SC across until the 3 SC in next corner space. **
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into first SC worked.
RND 34: CH 1 work 1 SC into same SC; work 1 SC into next SC;
(work 2 SC into next SC) x 2; work 1 SC into each SC across until the
4 SC in next corner space.
*Work 1 SC into next 2 SC; (work 2 SC into next SC) x 2; work 1 SC
into each SC across until the 4 SC in next corner space. **
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into first SC worked.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
