Introduction

DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES (DENR) was stablished on

January 30,1987 and the major established of the DENR was the closure off all open
dumpsites in the country and starts of post-closure rehabilitation in 2021 and accomplished
Degraded ecosystems rehabilitated by government in coordination with LGUs, industries,
and other stakeholders, Existing ecological functions of all proclaimed protected areas and
watersheds established; critical habitats, significant caves, priority mangrove areas, coral
reefs, seagrass beds and other wetlands maintained Increasing area covered and placed
under sustainable resource management regimes or instruments (including community-
based livelihood projects). The Mission of the DENR is to mobilize our citizenry in protecting,
conserving, and managing the environment and natural resources for the present and future
generations. The DENR is responsible for the conservation, management, and development
of the country’s environment and natural resources. It shall ensure the proper use of these
resources and the protection of the environment within the framework of sustainable
development.

The DENR has also received funding support from the World Bank for the implementation
of the Philippines Urban Resilience Project, undertakes various projects focused on
environmental management, conservation, and sustainability. As a proponent of our project
(the small canal cleanup and repair initiative: enhancing community waterways) We have
unshakeable faith that you can provide and support our need with DENR can bring numerous
benefits to your project, including technical assistance, resources support, and needed
equipment. We encourage our youth of (purok maayahay NHA) to join us to help us to clean
and to repair the waterways of the community located at (Poblacion matanao davao del,sur
purok, maayahay NHA) We believe that our project moves in harmony with the purpose and
goal of this agency. In goal of to clean and to protect our community and nature.

We are in partnership of Local Government Units (LGUs) For additional materials and help
service with (The small canal cleanup and repair initiative: Enhancing community
waterways) We encourage you to help us and to make protected community and clean
nature so that we can achieve the “The cleanliness of the community surrounding”.
Rationale/background

According to Dr. Suzuki (2019) “The legacy of pollution “that the human activities,
particularly consumption pattern and production processes, are the primary drivers of
pollution and waste generation. On the other hand, the lack of discipline of a human
behaviour can affect the nature. Discipline is important the reason of we can learn to follow
discipline properly. Seasons come and go in right karma rains come and go and everything
happens at the right time to make our life balanced. Therefore, we also need to be disciplined
to maintain the life cycle on this community.

improper waste disposal and management lead to significant environmental and health
problems, including water pollution, soil contamination WHO (2018). Purok maayahay NHA,
we have chosen this community as the major recipient of (The small and repair initiative:
enhancing community waterways). Because other officials in this community also helping
this community to be clean. We believe that this project will prove to be a significant initiator
for more project to come.

Project Description

The main goal of (The small canal cleanup and repair initiative: Enhancing community
waterways) In purok maayahay nha poblacion matanao davao del,sur, to promote effective
maintain cleaning and to avoid the mosquito causing of dengue and other illness to protect
the people in the community.

In the process of (The small canal and repair initiative: Enhancing community waterways),
the proponents of the project shall undergo the following methodology:

1.Preparation of Materials and Resources

All needed materials, equipment, and resources shall be collected by the proponents from
their respective sources. The agency and government shall provide the materials that will be
needed and the monetary support by the agency and the supplies will be need including; the
shovel, gloves, Holcim, hallow blocks, trash Bin, sack, steel, steel wires, sand, shall be bought
at Hardware, while the broom, dustpan, sack, bucket, shall bought in market place in
Matanao Davao del sur, while the food for lunch shall be order from MangInasal Digos branch,
Digos city the snack shall be bought from the market place including, water, pizza, bread,
Zest-o, burger minute. While the projector, chairs, tent, transportation, mick, table, speaker,
electricfan, extension wire, shall provide by the (LGUs) the program is located at the super
gym poblacion matanao davao del sur.

2.Appointing Motivational speakers

The following program speakers shall be motivational speakers for the discussion
during the program and other officials.

The anticipated of the small canal cleanup and repair initiative: Enhancing community
Waterways are measured in the following forms:

- The youyh of matanao davao del sur purok maayahay nha will gain more lesson and
learn about this project and will maintain.
- The youth will learn with this project.
 After the accurrence of our planned one days event, we will continue in being a part
of their progress in community. We will gather observations and comments from the
officials and the youth regarding the performance of the youth in the community.

The project will be implemented within the month of November 2024 which is when
all needed materials are ready. The stage preparation and checking of materials shall
follow on the next day and and the main program will be held after.

4.Project Need cost

The project will be funded by your institution, the DENR. Shown on the table above is
