ChE-411: Final Year Project– I
Plant design project is the practical demonstration of a student’s theoretical knowledge. In plant
design project, a group of students is assigned a project that includes process selection, capacity
selection, overall material and energy balance, design of different units or equipment,
instrumentation and control, economic analysis of plant, hazard assessment and HAZOP study,
etc. Students are required to present their project in front of class and faculty in a seminar to help
improve their interpersonal and communication skills.
