nothing on essay one

2)Throughout my childhood, I had the pleasure of encountered many different activities that I still do to
this day, ranging from doing little hands-on projects to playing outdoor sports. Yet, when I want to
quickly reset myself after a long day at school, I always go back to playing simple, single-player games on
my laptop. Of course I would prioritize doing other stuff first given the opportunity, but sometimes
videogames can provide a unique environment that allows me to immerse myself in the vast digital
worlds, filled with colorful scenery and interesting interactions. In this fictional world, not only do I get to
destress, but it also allows me to unleash my creativity and experiment with brand new things: maybe a
new mechanic in-game that deepens my understanding of the world, or trying out a combo that looks
stylistic, or simply exploring an undiscovered region containing many fascinating facts.

Throughout my childhood, I had the pleasure of encountering many different activities that I still do to
this day, ranging from doing little hands-on projects to playing outdoor sports. Yet, what I fantasized
about most has always been military vehicles. Most people are shy away from those war machines
because they feel intimidated. I, however, grew more and more curious about the inner workings of
these machines. I wonder how much advancement can be crammed into such a compact design while
still maintaining functionality and reliability. I admire those who, despite difficult circumstances, always
managed to persist and came up with designs that lasted for generations. Of course, as I grew older, my
interests in machinery also branched out more, covering a wider area of topics: automobiles, aircraft,
transportation, etc. All have sparked a deep desire to understand and create such marvels of
engineering.

3)By the end of my middle school years, I was faced with a rather difficult dilemma: on one hand, I could
continue following traditional educational philosophy in one of the most prestigious schools; on the
other hand, I could attend Cambridge A/AS Level courses that offered vastly different approaches to
teaching. At the time, I could just follow people's expectations and continue my normal education, but I
felt like the rigid and linear teaching was holding back my curiosity. That is why I chose to apply for the
A/AS level in the hope that I can challenge myself to something new. When it actually came to studying
the course, though, I struggled a lot compared to my classmates. I have to work much harder than
everyone else in order to catch up with the course. Needless to say, it was very exhausting. However, the
2 years I have been studying with them have taught me a lot. Not only did I get to interact with
professors that have different teaching philosophies, but I was also able to make friends and meet with
people from foreign backgrounds. In addiction, my understanding of the world has widened beyond the
confines of just my country and allowed me to see more and more opportunities that I can use to further
improve myself.

By the end of my middle school years, I was faced with a rather difficult dilemma: on one hand, I could
do what most students my age do and apply for some of the prestigious community high schools in
Vietnam. It is expected for many families here to continue following traditional values about education
for their children: a strict, competitive environment that focuses on textbook-only learning. This option is
considered safe for me due to the high quality of Vietnamese education and the abundance of job
opportunities. However, I decided to walk my own path and chose the riskier option, diving into a more
Western-style education. Even though it was a brand new environment that I had to quickly adapt to, I
powered through, working harder and pushing myself further just to catch up with the other students. I
believed that by escaping from the linear teaching ways, I could further develop my knowledge and
creativity. In addition, by experiencing different teaching philosophies, my understanding of the world
has widened beyond the confines of just my limited mind and allowed me to see more and more
opportunities that I can use to further improve myself.

5)During the first few days of 2020, hopes were high for a year full of many promises. Yet, Covid came
along and dragged everything downhill. And before I knew it, I was stuck at home, forced to do online
classes. At the time, I was lacking in self-discipline, which has caused me lots of trouble during and after
class. Quickly, the inherent lack of discipline became one glaring issue I needed to address immediately.
At first, I tried some conventional methods like making a timetable, working with friends, and getting
assistance from my parents. Nothing worked effectively for me, though. After many attempts, I finally
came to a solution that works best for me: perceiving every task in a "quest-and-reward" format. I make
a list of things I need to complete by the end of the day. Every time I've completed something, I tick the
task from the list. It was simple, but seeing the instant feedback gave me the motivational boost needed
to follow up the momentum and accomplish the following task. The solution wasn't anything special and
even considered childish, but if that approach works best for you personally, then there is nothing wrong
with that.

fix

Imagine a year full of promises, with exciting activities awaited for you, all the holidays, meeting all the
relatives. Now imagine it being forcefully taken from you. That was my feeling when I was homesick
during 2020. Everything was so boring: no friend talks, no hangouts; all I had were online classes and
online classes. Of course, I was bored to death, so I started to look for different ways to distract myself
from all of this: games. However, one short game quickly turned into two, then three, and before I knew
it, I let my lack of discipline affect my daily life. Soon, my scores were getting lower and lower. I knew
that I must change before it escalated. I tried asking my parents for help, but that didn't really help, so
was making a timetable. Finally, I tried something unconventional: perceiving every task in a "quest-and-
reward" format. How I would do this is I would make a list of things I need to complete by the end of the
day, and every time I've completed something, I tick the task from the list. It was simple, but it helped
me climb back onto the class's progress and, most importantly, developed a sense of responsibility and
discipline needed for me to further myself as an individual.
