GENERAL REGULATIONS
1. ORGANIZERS

The 0832 INDIA OPEN COMPETITION in (Rifle/Pistol) events at Yash Shooting Hub, Naikawado Mandrem Goa
403512 is being organized and conducted by the National Rifle Association of India

2. NAME OF THE COMPETITION

0832 INDIA OPEN COMPETITION IN RIFLE & PISTOL EVENTS (AUGUST 2024).

3. VENUE

YASH SHOOTING ACADEMY, SRUVEY No.121/1 & 123/2, VILL. MANDREM, PERNEM, GOA.

4. COMPETITION DATES

FROM 18TH TO 27TH AUGUST, 2024

5. LEVEL OF COMPETITION

The Level of the Competition is Pre-National Level Competition as defined under Rule 1.1.2.1 of NRAI Match book.

6. CONDUCT OF COMPETITION

a. The Matches will be conducted in accordance with NRAI Match Book under NR Rules and in Air Weapon
events under ISSF Rules.

b. CHAMPION OF CHAMPION TROPHY:

i) Champion of Champion Match will be conducted as per Final rules of ISSF Rules.
ii) Eight shooters with highest score from all age categories in ISSF events (Men and Women) will be
selected to participate for Champion of Champions Trophy in Air Rifle & Air Pistol Events.
iii) The Champion of Champions match will be conducted with “fanfare”. Traditional folk music will be
played during the conduct of the Champion of Champions Matches. Spectators will be allowed to
support their shooters by using drums etc.
iv) Winners of Finals shall be awarded “Champion of Champions” Trophy.

7. ELIGIBITY CRITERIA

a. Eligibility for Participate in India Open Competition

i. Shooters who have participated in Pre-State Championship/State Championship/AIGVMSC/Zonal

Championship/India Open Competition or in NSCC are eligible to participate in this Competition. In case
any State Rifle Association fails to conduct the Pre-State Championship, the NRAI reserves the right to
allow shooters of that State to participate in India Open Competition.
ii. Shooters achieving MQS during one of the India Open Competitions, as per Rule 17.6 of NRAI, will
be eligible to participate in NSCC
iii. Shooters may participate in multiple India Open Competitions prior to NSCC. One of the highest scores
during India Open Competition, which is equal or above to NR MQS under Rule 17.6 of NRAI Match
 Book, will be considered for participation in NSCC. (Clarification – if a shooter fails to achieve MQS in
subsequent Competitions, he/she still will be allowed to participate in NSCC based on said high score.

iv. A penalty of Rs. 3000/- (plus 18% GST = Rs.3540/- as applicable) per shooter per event will be imposed
on shooter in case shooter’s score is below 15% of the qualifying score as per NRAI Match Book rule 1.4
during the Competition. The State/Unit must recover this amount from the shooters. The State Rifle
Association will be responsible for recovery of penalty and deposit the same with NRAI. Shooters will not
be permitted to participate in any competition till the penalty amount is paid to NRAI.

8. REPRESENTATION AND ENTRY

The representation and entry for participation in 0832 INDIA OPEN COMPETITION is as per Rule 6 of NRAI
Match Book. The shooter would represent the State as per their registration on NRAI’s “Online system”. Entries will
be accepted on NRAI portal www.thenrai.org The last dates for accepting entries are as under:

With normal fee – 2nd August, 2024 till 7.30 pm

With triple fee – 5th August, 2024 till 7.30 pm

9. AGE CRITERIA & CATEGORIES

The age criteria will be as per Rule 11 of NRAI Match Book.

Shooters, who are completing the age, as stated below in 2024, will be allowed to participate under age categories
matches:

Juniors – 21 years Born in 2003 or after.

Youth - 19 years or before Born in 2005 or after
Sub Youth - 16 years or before Born in 2008 or after
Masters – 45 -- 60 years Should have completed 45 years one day before Competition
Senior Masters – 60 – 70 years Should have completed 60 years one day before Competition
Super Masters – 70 years Should have completed 70 years one day before Competition.

Juniors may participate in Senior Category. The Youth may participate in senior and junior category matches. The
Sub Youth Category shooters are allowed to participate in all categories except Masters and Senior Masters
matches.

For Deaf shooters – There will be only one age category – Men and Women. However, Deaf shooters may
participate in other category matches according to their age but there no separate medal will be awarded under those
categories to Deaf shooters.

For Para Shooters - All Shooters, who are already registered, are also required to upload their medical
categorization certificate as approved by PCI, if not done earlier. Without a medical categorization certificate, no
entry will be accepted under Para Category.

SHOOTERS BELOW THE AGE OF 12 YEARS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN FIRE ARM
MATCHES DURING THIS CHAMPIONSHIP. SIMILARLY, SHOOTERS BELOW THE AGE OF 10 YEARS
ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN AIR WEAPON EVENTS.

11. AWARD OF MEDALS

a) Gold, Silver and Bronze Medal will be awarded in each category in individual events.
b) Individual medals will be awarded on the basis of Qualification Scores in all categories.
c). Rule 10 of NRAI Match Book will apply for award of medals.

12. CODE OF CONDUCT

NRAI Code of Conduct shall be applicable to all participants, coaches, technical officials, and all others connected
with the conduct of India Open Competition.

13. ENTRY FEE

For Air Matches – Rs. 950/- per match plus 18% GST = Rs.1121/-
For Air Matches ISSF -- Rs.1250/- per match plus 18% GST = Rs.1475/-
For Firearms Matches - Rs.675/- per match plus 18% GST = Rs.797/-

14. AMMUNITON

The ammunition will available at NRAI Camp office at GOA subject to availability.

16. PROTESTS AND APPEALS

The Protests and appeals will be dealt as per ISSF & NRAI Match Book. The Protest fee is Rs. 200/-(plus 18% )
Rs.236/- and in case of appeal to Jury of Appeal, the protest fee is Rs. 500/-(plus 18% GST) Rs.590/-.

17. ACCOMMODATION

Participants are requested to kindly make their own arrangements for accommodation. A wide range of hotels for
all budgets are available in GOA.

18. GENERAL

All participants are requested to go through the above instructions carefully and ensure strict compliance:

a. All participants are expected to abide by the rules and regulations for the competition. Discipline on and off
the field is very essential.
b. A sum of Rs. 236/- (Rs.200/- plus 18% GST) will be charged in case Competitor card is issued by NRAI.
c. In case of non-participation by the competitors after submission of their entries, entry fee will not be refunded.
d. Shooting kit (clothing & Equipment) of the competitors during the competition will be strictly according to
ISSF Rules.
e. Shooting practice in hotels is strictly prohibited.
f. The Organizers will have the right to close any match or event in case of any emergency or otherwise
without assigning any reason for such an action on their part.
g. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to amend the rules at any time at its sole discretion for
events/circumstances beyond its control. Any decision made by the Organizing Committee in any such
matter will be final.
h. All participants are expected to abide by the rules and regulations for the competitions. Discipline on and off
the field is very essential.

19. COVID PROTOCOLS

a. Shooters are requested to follow COVID SOPs as laid down by Govt. of India/Delhi. Govt.

b. No request for any adjustment shall be entertained. The details of squads will be notified on the website of
NRAI. Shooters are required to enter the range 90 minutes before the reporting time at range so that they can
report on time for their detail.

c. The Shooters may contact the NRAI on [email protected] for any further information/details that may
be required by them and might have not been covered by the above instructions.
