Summer Vacations are at our doorsteps. Holidays are a well deserved opportunity to relax and
reviewed by indulging in activities that are pleasurable at the same time educative. You are going to
enjoy your holidays. It’s a sincere request to all to complete holiday projects and home assignments
on time. Engage yourself whole heartedly as you will learn a lot through it. Practice your hobbies or
inculcate new hobbies.

Follow the instructions to complete your Holiday Homework:

• Do any 5/6 activities of the given activities.


• Click photo/ make a video.
• Maintain a scrap-book/ thin notebook/ folder and write down the details of the activities you
have attempted day/ date-wise. If possible you can also paste pictures related to given
activities.
• Original drawings/ illustrations and creative use of materials will be appreciated.

This summer break try and make a difference:

• Remember the four magical words PLEASE, THANK YOU, SORRY AND EXCUSE ME.
Make these a part of your personality. ‘A little more courtesy goes a long way.’
• Create a new story (Hindi/ English).
• Respect your parents, grandparents and all elders.
• Learn a magic trick.
• Try some origami.
• Make a face mask/ hand puppet. You can also present a puppet show.
• Make a bird feeder. Put it outside and feed the birds daily by putting some grains inside the
feeder.
• Try a new recipe with your mother.
• Learn a new song or play a new instrument.
• Do tasks which you can easily accomplish like filling the water bottles, keeping them in the
refrigerator, watering the plants, cleaning dishes, folding washed clothes etc. this is how you
can get into the habit of helping out around the house.

• प्रतिहदन हििंदी समाचार पत्र पढ़ें और घर में पढ़ कर सुनाएँ |


• समाचार पत्र में रोचक शब्द पिे ली िल करें |
• स्वयिं कोई 150 शब्दों िक की किानी ललखने का प्रयास करें और उससे सम्बिंधिि धचत्र बनाएिं।

ू ने जाएँ िो सफ़र में एक डायरी अवश्य रखें और प्रतिहदन की खलु शयों

ENGLISH

• Design a magazine. Choose an interesting name for your magazine. Make a colorful cover
page. It must have an index. The magazine must comprise of 12-15 pages. Any four- five
topics can be chosen out of these listed below:

a) Current Affairs
b) Amazing Facts
c) Stories
d) Jokes
e) Proverbs
f) Scrambled Words
g) Poems
h) Advertisements

(Note: Use a scrap book or loose sheets for doing this activity and you can put all the loose sheets in
a sliding folder. The cover page must be on top.)
• Learn a beautiful poem of any popular poet for presenting in class/assembly after the
vacation.
• Make a colorful dice using your own creative imagination to indicate different kinds of
Nouns- Proper, Common, Collective, Material and Abstract Nouns.

MATHS

• Collect information about any one of the famous mathematician:


(a) Arya Bhatt
(b) Shriniwas Ramanujam
• Write the population of any 4 states of India.
(a) Write the names of the States
(b) Write the population in words
(c) Arrange them in ascending and descending order
(d) Find out the states with maximum and minimum population.
• Make a shopping list with the help of your mother and find out total expenses

LET’S GO GREEN

This summer let’s become gardeners and learn about some farming also.
(a) Have fun growing a plant. You can grow a plant (herbs such as mint, coriander, lettuce,
Ornamental plants, air purifier plants etc.) in used coconut shells, discarded plastic bottles,
broken coffee mugs etc.
(b) Create a planter using any can or plastic bottles and decorate it with waste materials. Some
of the examples are given below

Grow a plant in a pot and click a picture with it.

• Learn all the chapters done in class

Note for Parents: Holiday Homework is time for activity and fun. It is an opportunity to spend
quality time with your little ones. Do help them but encourage them to do the work themselves.
Originality, creativity and Work done by students themselves will be appreciated.
