Definition and Scope of international
relations

all movements of people , goods and ideas across the
boundaries/ borders within its preview, it includes
trade, financial interaction, missionary activities, travel
of students, cultural relations’

supports broader view
 Hoffman says ‘IR is concerned with the factors and
the activities which affect the external policies and
the powers of basic units into which the world is
divided’
