Abstract
This work is designed to manufacture a device for the qualitative measurement
of the attraction force or the adhesion value between asphalt binder and
aggregate particles under the influence of shock. Since, the adhesion value
varies among different aggregate and asphalt sources and grades, as well as
with additives. The device consists of a three-point base support with a 50 cm
height column that holds a metallic ball of 5 cm in diameter. The ball is freely
thrown on the overturned sample with the plate to cause a vibration. The poorly
bonded aggregate would fall. This gives an indication of the adhesion value.
