From the Info Tech & Mobile Application course, the areas of knowledge and skills

have affected my perception of mobile application development and its use. Another crucial

aspect of this course that received much attention was the assessment of the quality of mobile

applications using instruments such as the MARS. According to Davalbhakta et al. (2020),

this framework gives a stringent method that can be applied to determine the advantages and

demerits of applications that is crucial in the contemporary society more than ever dependent

on applications. Thus, applying this framework it is possible to get the idea about the way of

evaluate app effectiveness and use gained knowledge directly for increasing the quality of the

mobile applications in the professional level. This would help in the evaluation process of the

applications to make it confirm to the user’s needs and requirements as well as reliability of

the assessment metrics.

Besides the evaluation techniques, the course also introduced usability of mobile

applications aspects such as presented by Weichbroth (2020). On the overall process of

creating apps, usability is one of the most important characteristics since it may influence the

level of consumers’ satisfaction. Thus, the course has provided me with knowledge to

improve user interfaces and ensure that the applications developed are easily navigable by the

user. For example, the effectiveness personality hypothesis can assist in the usability goals by

helping to design for interface for people of different age group to enhance the usability

levels. These principles are useful when developing new applications and can be used

adjusting the existing ones to provide a more pleasant experience to the users as well as

matching the requirements of the current market.

As another important direction, the construction of the mobile applications’ life cycle

plan, design, implementation, and testing processes was revealed. The detailed steps are vital

to develop effective application, which not only meets the requirements of the users but also

fulfils their expectations. The course focused on iterating through test cases to improve and

the need to keep testing the app. This corresponds to the best practices of increasing the

quality of the application as practiced in the industry. It means that applying of these concepts

in the real environment, for instance, when doing an internship or working on a project, one

can design reliable and effective applications that would correspond to essential norms of

their performance and run without causing significant dissatisfaction among users.

Last but not least, the specifics of the course also uncovered the trends and

developments in mobile app development. These include topics like Integration of advanced

features, Cross-Platform compatibility, Cloud computing have been so informative. For

instance, it is essential to learn how the mobile applications can adopt the cloud services to

improve scalability and performance, which are critical features of today’s applications. It is

rather helpful when it is necessary to design applications that would include additional

features and possess a strong base. The actual abilities to deploy all of these technologies

successfully can result into innovative solutions and therefore can help in the creation of

leading-edge mobile applications.

To sum up, I belong to the group of students who can prove that the Info Tech &

Mobile Application course develops practical knowledge and general theories that can be

used in the working process. Starting with the techniques of quality assessment of

applications that are necessary for their work, to improving the usability of these applications

and using the opportunities of new technologies that were covered in the course, it allowed to

lay the foundation for effective work in various segments of activity. Regardless of whether it

is an academic project or a future opportunity of employment, the knowledge gained from

this course will be useful when designing usable, efficient and effective mobile applications

that are compliant with the market standards and satisfaction of the users.
