PAST SIMPLE TENSE
We use Past Simple to talk about actions or events
that happened and were completed in the past.
POSITIVE FORM
Start with the subject, add the past form of the verb.
Pay attention to the regular and irregular verbs.
Examples: “I danced at the party.” (regular)
“We went to the zoo last weekend.” (irregular)
NEGATIVE FORM
Use "did not" (didn't) before the base form of the verb to
form negative sentences.
Examples: “He didn't play soccer yesterday.”
“They didn't eat pizza for dinner.”
QUESTION FORM
Begin with "did," add the subject,
and then add the base form of the verb.
Examples: “Did you watch the movie?”
”Did she visit the museum?”

What are the comparative adjectives?
Comparative adjectives are adjectives used to compare two people or things. We use them to say that one person or object
has a higher degree of a quality than the other.
Examples: taller than, smaller than, smarter than, brighter than, cheaper than.

What are the superlative adjectives?
Comparative adjectives are used to describe an object which is at the upper or lower limit of a quality (the tallest, the
smallest, the most expensive, the smartest). They are used in sentences where the object is compared to a group of objects.
Examples: the tallest, the most expensive, the safest, the cheapest.
