Characteristic 1—When measuring the characteristics of a disciple, we can only do a self-


evaluation compared to scripture.

Mark 3: Greatest Commandment

Characteristic 1—A mark of a disciple is following the commandment that Jesus Christ

beyond measure the unloveable.

place for solace, and a place for restoration. It has also been a place of hurt for some who

deemed unsafe, Jesus entered into locations where he was threatened, and Paul along with
the disciples experienced life-threatening circumstances for Jesus Christ.

assignment He has given you to accomplish?

Characteristic 1—Jesus has spoken serval times about being obedient to the disciples.
Through obedience, the disciple can manifest the power of God through the gifts of the
Spirit.

Characteristic 2—A very important piece to obedience is prayer and seeking the Lord. The
book of Psalms 3:5-7 speaks on acknowledging the Lord in all of your ways. Also in the
book of Matthew 6:33 reads seek ye first the Kingdom of God.

Characteristic 1—As a disciple, one must experience suffering. Jesus tells the disciples they
will suffer for His name's sake. He also warned them they would be hated for his name's
sake.

teaches His disciples about the significance of serving. He was able to demonstrate by
washing the disciples' feet.
