➢ Rules and Regulations
1. The tournament shall be played under the FIDE Laws of Chess under Swiss
League System with 9 rounds.
2. Each player will have 40 minutes with an addition of 30 seconds per move
starting from move number one.
3. Default Time – 30 minutes
4. Writing of moves is compulsory for all players from move one.
5. Tie breaks - (i) Buchholz cut 1, (ii) Buchholz, (iii) SB, (iv) Direct Encounter,
(v) Greater number of wins (including forfeit points), (vi) Greater number
of Victories from Black.
6. No electronic devices/watches (any type) are allowed inside the playing
area.
7. The management is not responsible for any mishap or untoward incident
that happens at the venue.
8. The tournament organizers reserve the right to make any necessary
changes.
9. The tournament organizers have the right to Accept or Reject any
entry without further explanation.
10. Coaches and accompanying person are prohibited from entering
the playing hall starting from Round 1.
11. Player will be eligible for one higher prize only.
12. All prize winners are bound to attend the prize distribution
ceremony if they want to claim their prizes.
13. Prize will be disbursed within 10 working days from completion of
the tournament.
14. All the rules of AICF for Below Rating Tournament are applicable
i.e. a player should not have crossed 1800 fide classical rating in
the past 36 months and hasn’t secured 1st rank in below 1800
tournament in the last 1 year
➢ It is thereby considered that all players have thoroughly read and
understood the rules and regulations, and not following the same will lead
to subsequent action against them.
➢ Protests
If any against the decision of the Chief Arbiter, shall be made in writing with a
protest fee of Rs.1000/- within 30 minutes of the occurrence of the incident. The
amount shall be refunded if the appeal is upheld.
➢ Appeals Committee
A seven-member Committee of Appeals (inclusive of 2-reserves) shall be formed
from amongst players/officials/coaches present on the Inaugural day. The
decisions of the Appeals Committee would be final and binding on all the players.
➢ Fee Structure
Entry Fee - Rs. 2,500/-
➢ Last Date – 21st December, 2024 (Entries will not be accepted thereafter)
➢ No Spot Entry Will Be Accepted.
➢ Entry fee once paid will not be refunded.

All players must have a renewed AICF and MCA (for Maharashtra Players)
ID for the year 2024-2025 before the start of the tournament.
Players will not be paired without a valid AICF and MCA ID.
