Dear Sir,

Bipin Tripathi Kumaon Institute of Technology (Formerly Kumaon Engineering College) was established by the
then Govt. of Uttar Pradesh in 1986 for imparting engineering education and promoting technological environment.
The institute started functioning in 1991. The institute offers excellent academic environment and has the status of
autonomous institution which is fully financed and controlled by Govt. of Uttarakhand. The institute is affiliated to
Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun.

The institute runs seven graduate engineering programs — Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and
Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
and Biochemical Engineering — and Post-graduate programs: Master of Technology (M. Tech) in Computer Science &
Engineering, Digital Communication (ECE) and Thermal Engineering (ME) and Masters of Computer Applications. The
institute is also offering Ph.D programmes in all the departments under the Uttarakhand Technical University,
Dehradun. The institute is fully residential with around 1200 male and 600 female students residing in the campus.

The course syllabi are designed as per industrial need in the institute. The curriculum of these programmes requires
every student to undergo 4-6 weeks industrial/vocational training/internship in different organizations as a part of
industry-institute interaction program. In the period of vocational training the students are required to work on
projects assigned to them by the concerned organizations/industries in their area of specialization. On completion of
the training, the student has to submit a report duly signed by a competent authority to the institute for its evaluation.

Our students are placed in all leading companies like TCS, Jubilant, Godrej, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, INTEL, DRDO,
UPCL etc

In this regard, Aashirwad Kotiyal a student of B.Tech Chemical Engineering Branch III Year is approaching to your
esteemed organization for vocational training/internship to be undertaken in 2024. In the light of the above, you are
requested to kindly allow the student for vocational training in your organization. The student shall abide by all the
rules and regulations of your organization..
