I. LEARNING OBJECTIVE/S:
Essential Learning Competency:
 Illustrates a circle and the terms related to it: radius, diameter chord, center, arc,
chord, central angle, and inscribed angle.
Specific Learning Outcomes:
 Demonstrate understanding of the different concepts about circles (radius,
diameter chord, center, arc, chord, central angle, and inscribed angle) by identifying
these based on a circle figure shown.
 Create an art work (drawing, painting, about circles. (The artwork must contain the
different concepts discussed about circles.)-This activity is in collaboration with their
arts subject (Integrated Task)
II. SUBJECT MATTER:
 Topic: Circles

Parts-of-Circles-BSC-GEOM/
 Materials: Powerpoint Presentation (contains outline of the lesson, pictures and
other visual representations about the lesson, outline of the practice activity about
the lesson, activities and rubrics). Instructional Materials that can support the
delivery of the lesson.
III. PROCEDURES:
 Daily Routines: Greetings, Prayer, Checking of Attendance
 Motivation: “Trivia Building”
-Different circular objects (watermelon, pizza and balloon) focusing in their two-
dimensions will be shown to the students.
-Interesting facts about these objects will be shared with the students.

-After the “Trivia Building” Motivational Activity, a question will be asked to the
students about the similarity of the three objects in terms of their two-dimensional
shape. (Clues will be given to the students)

 Lesson Proper:
-The essential learning competency and the specific learning outcomes will be
shared to the students
-Interactive Discussions about Circles with the different concepts about circles
(radius, diameter chord, center, arc, chord, central angle, and inscribed angle)
-Real life representations or examples about the lesson will also be shared to the
students in order for them to realize that circles and the terms related to circles are
applicable in our daily lives.

IV. EVALUATION/ASSESSMENT:
 Formative Assessment: Interactive Question and Answer Portion: A circle figure will
be shown to the students and they will answer the given questions/do the given
instructions.

 Activity: “I am an artist!”
-The students will be creating a simple art work (drawing, painting, electronic
design, etc.) about circles. The artwork must contain the different concepts
discussed about circles.
- Examples will be presented to the students for them to have guides in doing the
activity.
-The rubrics in grading will also be shared to the students for them to know the
different criteria in evaluation.

 Values Integration: To end the discussions, life will be related to circles.

V. ASSIGNMENT:
-The assignment will be shared to the students in preparation for the next lesson.
