Wurttemberg, while a small nation in an european

point of view, was one of the members of the college

of kings (Main members of the Confederation of the
Rhine), alongside Bavaria and others.

The nation established its army in 1648 (Wurttemberg

was still a duchy) after the peace of Westphalia, which
permitted the states of the HRE to raise standing
armies. With the dissolution of the HRE and the
formation of the Confederation of the Rhine by
Napoleon, Wurrtemberg was raised to the rank of
Kingdom, under the rule of Friedrich the I.

The nation pleaded about 12.000 troops to the

confederation, and partook in some battles under
french lead.
