Hello everyone, Now I will be taking you through the measures or ways that can

be implemented to reduce or at least minimize the effects of air pollution. If some

thing is bothering you, then you should work to reform it rather than facing your
back to it. Isn’t It ? ……….
So the first point is using public transportation,
This activity might trick you by sounding so simple and underweight but it’s scope
lies far beyond that. If a person simply switched towards using the public means
of transportation than their private vechiles, they have the power to reduce the
carbon footprint into the nature by more than 3 times. This can offer large
advantange not only to clean air but also to reduce the green house gases, simply
by changing the transportation. Use of private jets to fly over a short distance
releases huge amount of carbon and other harmful pollutants contributing to the
degradation in our environment and air. In search of convenient ways, we should
never forgot our own surrounding from where we are taking everything.

Moving forward, we have implementation of regulations regarding the use of air

filters. Even today more than 60% of the industries are being operated without
effective air filters, they are releasing all the harmful toxics directly in the air. If
we look towards underdeveloped or developing countries this number surges
even higher. If all the industries are operated with the use of filters we can
control the emission of this pollutants by a whooping 95%, which is a great
number. Imagine the hessy smoke being released from the industries, only 5% of
those toxins will be exposed to the air, if we could enforce the use of air filters in
them, Just think how less toxic and clear will be the resulting cloud releasing from
factories. The collected pollutant from filters can later be reused or neutralized
using proper chemical proportion before being releasing into the
surrounding………..

Also, I think indoor air pollution is the most underestimated one. When we are
talking about air pollution, what we generally imagine is the pollutants from some
vechiles or large industrial areas. That’s our basic understanding about air
pollution, but our activities within our own kitchen or household is also equally
dangerous. Millions of people are facing death every year just by the indoor air
pollution, large number of them include the women working in the kitchen and
infants below the age of 5. This issue can be resolved simply by changing our
kitchen through the use of stoves with chimneys or electric stoves. A lot of young
lives are struggling against air pollution due to the unconscious act of previous
generation, which must be addressed as soon as possible to create a better
environment for the upcoming generation………..

Now, we are supposed to increase the use of alternative source of energy. Almost
everyone is well equipped with the knowledge regarding the importance of
alternative source of energy in our environment. But we should also internalize
this thing rather than just saying, yeah this thing is advantageous for us.
Implementing the sources like solar energy, hydropower, wind energy could
replace the use of fossil fuels, which means the reduction in the amount of green
house gases which ultimately helps to increase the quality of air around us……….

If this goes on in the same rate, the day is not far, where you would struggle to
simply take one breathe without carrying oxygen cylinder or hefty masks in your
face. Today you are having trouble to breathe pure air in major cities, but if it
doesn’t get any improvement at this time, the upcoming situation is even worse.
Could you imagine losing the freedom to even access the clean air, not only air
but every part of our beloved nature. ………….

So the next task could be raising awareness, This point is what you have probably
heard in almost every problem because it actually is a significant part. When you
get to know about some particular topic now it’s your responsibility to take
actions and make people around you aware about it. Even me, when I recently
joined this campagain, I used to think, hey what could the air pollution do, just
some cough and dry eyes. But now I get to know, it’s not limited to this. Air
pollution is the gateway to invite numerous respiratory and skin diseases which
could eventually take you to your death bed. All the general public should have at
least a basic idea about air pollution and how worse it can get by neglecting this
issue, how dangerous is this thing to their health and surrounding, so that they
would be consicious when something similar happens in their environment…………

Lot of efforts by youth is currently under action which should increase by the
time, if we actually want to see some changes in the air we breathe. Now this task
is under our hands, in the hands of youth, who can raise their voice and fight with
their full will against air pollution………..

When moving our steps, it might seem like a small effort which may not get
anywhere but never forget all the great acheivements are cumilation of all those
small steps from each individual. Imagine you are totally tired and trying to sleep
in your bed, and one mosquito roams around your ears. Obviously you can’t have
a quality sleep. That single small mosquito is able to make a difference for you
from the sweet sleep you are having after all those hardship over the day. ………

Now it’s our turn to give a turnover to our air, the air which all the organisms are
using from the very day, the earth originated. Let’s be one unit of undefeatable
youth to get the air that we deserve to live in and overcome all the obstacles
which would get in our way. Don’t forgot there is nothing that a hot blooded
youth can’t do.
*******************************************************************
Hello, everyone! Now, we’re diving into some practical ways about how we can
reduce air pollution. Let me ask you something: if something’s troubling you,
would you rather ignore it or face it head-on and make a change? Of course,
you'd want to make a difference, right? So, let’s talk about how we can do just
that!

First up—public transportation. Yeah, I know, sounds basic, right? But don’t be
fooled by its simplicity. Switching from private vehicles to public transport isn’t
just a small act; it can actually reduce your carbon footprint by three times.
Imagine that—just one bus ride, instead of driving your car, can help clean the air
we all breathe. Now think bigger—what if everyone made this switch? The effect
on reducing greenhouse gases and other pollutants would be massive. And don’t
even get me started on private jets! They’re convenient, sure, but flying a short
distance in one, dumps an insane amount of carbon into the air, contributing to
the rapid decline of our environment. We often overlook the world around us in
pursuit of convenience, but we need to remember: this environment sustains us.
We owe it some care.

Next, we have industrial air filters. Here's a fact that might surprise you: over 60%
of industries are still operating without effective air filters. That means they’re
releasing harmful toxins directly into the air we breathe. In developing countries,
that percentage is even higher. But here’s the game-changer—if all industries
used proper air filters, we could cut harmful emissions by 95%! Picture this: the
dark, smoggy smoke you see billowing from factories? If we enforced air filter
regulations, only 5% of those toxins would make it into the air. That’s huge. Plus,
the pollutants collected can be neutralized or even reused. It's a win-win
situation, both for industry and the planet.
Now, let’s talk about something often overlooked: indoor air pollution. When you
think of air pollution, you probably picture traffic or factory smoke, right? But the
air inside our homes, especially our kitchens, can be just as dangerous. Millions of
people—yeah, millions—die each year from indoor air pollution. It unevenly
affects weman cooking in kitchens and children under five. But here’s the kicker—
it’s preventable. Switching to electric stoves or using chimneys can drastically
reduce indoor pollutants. It’s heartbreaking to think that so many young lives are
impacted by something so fixable. We need to act now to create a safer
environment for future generations.

Speaking of which, let’s talk about energy. We all know about alternative energy
sources like solar, wind, and hydropower. But here’s the thing—we need to stop
just knowing and start doing. Transitioning to these clean energy sources can
drastically cut down on greenhouse gas emissions. Fossil fuels are choking our
atmosphere, but renewable energy can breathe life back into it. And let’s be real:
the sooner we switch, the better our chances are of saving the air we breathe.

If we don’t act now, the future looks grim. Imagine struggling to breathe in your
own city without carrying an oxygen tank or wearing a mask 24/7. Sounds
terrifying, doesn’t it? But that’s where we’re headed if we don’t change our ways.
It’s already happening in some major cities—air so polluted it’s dangerous to even
go outside. The longer we wait, the harder it will be to turn things around.

And that brings me to the next point—awareness. Yeah, it’s something you’ve
probably heard in every single environmental talk, but there’s a reason for that.
Knowledge is power. It’s our duty to inform others once we know the stakes. I
used to think air pollution was just a minor issue—maybe some coughing or
watery eyes. But now I know it’s much deeper. It invites respiratory diseases, skin
conditions, and worse. Without awareness, people won’t know how much danger
they’re in, and without knowledge, no one can act.

Thankfully, there’s hope. Youth movements around the world are stepping up,
and that’s what gives me confidence. It’s in our hands—the hands of young
people who are ready to fight for clean air.
"Like the Dalai Lama once said, 'If you think you are too small to make a change,
try sleeping with a mosquito.' Even the tiniest efforts can make a difference. So
don’t underestimate your power—your small actions can lead to a ripple effect
that helps us all."

It’s time for us to stand up and reclaim the air we deserve. Let’s unite as one
unstoppable force and overcome the obstacles standing in our way. Remember:
there’s nothing a passionate, determined group of young people can’t achieve.
The air is ours—let’s protect it.
