Final Examination Notice

Duration: 2 hours, IN-PERSON examination

Date and Time: 5 May 2023 (Friday), 2:30 – 4:30 pm

Venue: Please refer to your own personalized examination timetable (via SCORE)
(* There are two examination centers: KEC and FTC)

Coverage: Chapter 1 to Chapter 11

Weighting: 40% of the course marks

Format: Answer all 7 questions (Similar to assignments)

Remarks:
• Remember to go to the correct venue according to your own personalized examination timetable.
(KEC: Kowloon East Campus; FTC: Fortress Tower Centre).
• Remember to bring your student ID card for identity checking.
• Remember to bring your calculator. The calculator should have numerical display facilities only (no graphical
display).
• Remember to switch off and put away your mobile phone during the examination.
• No formula sheet will be provided.
• You are not allowed to take out any note, draft paper, … during the examination.
• Normal table, t-table, and χ2 table will be included in the examination question paper.

Instructions to Candidates
• This paper has 8 pages.
• Answer ALL questions.
• Write your Student ID number and seat number on the cover of the answer book and every extra
page of answer sheet(s).
• All questions must be answered in English.
• This is a closed book examination.
• Calculators are permitted. Calculators with graphical display are not allowed.
• Show clear calculation steps. Correct your answer to 4 decimal places when applicable.
